My husband and I make this a regular stop when we visit Ohio University. The staff are always friendly, the bread and pastries are fresh. There is always a variety of baked goods to choose from each time we go.
This place is fantastic when they are actually open. I can barely get anything because they end up closing by 10am
Have tried at least half of their breads, all of their paninnis. Excellent! And I am fussy. Highly recommend if you like good, well proofed bread, well baked bread. In a perfect world, I wish the sourdough had a bit more "tang", that the ciabatta had a dash more salt and that all was in the oven for another 30 seconds...but I am nit-picking here. Best bread I have had, have found in a long time. Props to the bakers!
When passing through town I have to stop at ABC to stock up. Breads and Pastries remind me of Paris!
Once again, feeling fortunate to have close-to-home local alternatives to big-box stores and air bread. Maybe a little pricy for flatlanders and rubes like me but sometimes there's no comparison between fresh out-of-the-oven delicious breads vs. store shelf breads. Plus,nothing better than supporting our unique local enterprises. Just wish they were open Mondays too !
