Ate there today and may very well be the worst fast-food meal I have ever had. Hot dog was boiled, coney sauce was bland, slaw tasted like it came out of a can. At least the stale bun held up with all the poor tasting slaw that was on it. Fries were wayyy over done and dried out and I’m still not sure what mystery meat was supposed to be in the roast beef. Also, what kind of drive in does not serve any burgers at all but has veal on the menu? Thought this was actually an A&W but no, just similar decorations. Place is overpriced and a complete rip-off.
Just ate there this evening for the first time and it will be the last. Thought this was some type of A&W but it is almost like “Comming to America” and is a complete waste of time. Seriously, a drive-in that does not serve burgers but has perch and veal on the menu!?!? Also, just may have the most over-cooked fries I have ever had. The entire cup of them was stiff and dried out. Overall, food quality is poor and all the 5 stars for this place just tell you that nobody in Ashland Ohio knows what a coney dog should be. Avoid this place at all costs.
Had the Coney Dog, fries w/vinegar and a Pepsi. Yep..got the onions on it and everything! Could have been a little bigger but, for the $$$...great!
We came all the way from Cincinnati through Ashland, to see family & was hoping we’d get to to the A&W drive in before they closed at 9. Called ahead as our ETA was 8:54. Just making sure we’d get there in time…The owner answered and was so kind & said if someone “pulls in at 8:59, we’re still gonna make sure they get a hot meal.” It was so kind. I lost my uncle this week. It’s been awful. And, a sweet gesture, and his kindness is just what I needed. And, yes…we made it in time! We ordered at 8:55 and by 9:05pm - got a hot meal. 1 coney, 3 hot dogs, fries, fried pickles, and a large root beer for just $16. It was so yummy! And, just what my belly…and my heart needed. Thank you SO MUCH you guys. AMAZING service. Above & beyond. ❤️
Loved the pickle dog. Could have eaten more of them. Waitresses very friendly. Coney were great too. Loved the fried cauliflower.
I've been going to the Ashland Wooster since it was called the A&W Root Beer Drive in. They have always had great coneys and Root Beer. They're service has always been the best. I hope they are there for many more years!!
Only hot dogs I'll eat that aren't cooked over a fire! Shredded chicken is pretty good too! Prices are getting higher and higher but I understand everything is going up. Thank you for serving Ashland for so many years!
Will never be back. Service is pitiful. We ordered breaded mushrooms and got some kind of hotdogs. I've been very disappointed with A&W before and today was no different. Just thought I would give them one more chance. Never again!!!!!
We just stopped to get some root beer the server that took care of us was awesome will go back when we are back in town
We like to drop by for a Coney every once in a while. Creamy Chicken sandwich is good as well.
