This is one of my favorite local venues for a lot of different kinds of music. The owner is amazing and bar staff are always on top of it.
Went for a karaoke contest. It was mildly busy, and with only a minimum of enthusiasm from the patrons. Drinks were cheap, small and weak. Seating was plentiful and the bathrooms were large and clean. Bouncers were very friendly and informative. I was only in the smaller half of the venue, but was told that the larger half hosted raves, live bands and events. Also of note is a beautiful little smoking alley, with outdoor tables and twinkly lights. When I was there it was doubly mesmerizing with fireflies throwing a sea of sparkles over the brick walls and starry night sky above.There is also a cover charge for entry, which for my event on a Sunday evening was 5 dollars.
Great place to hear your favorite local and non local people preform. The best of the up and coming artists are always on the venue.. great place to bring your friends your family and yes even your children. Much respect for the people that come here always watching out for the young ones. It's all about the kids anyway.. rock on management .. !!!
Two separate buildings made into one establishment. It’s pretty cool. There is a small stage in the first part. The bar. One pool table set in the middle of the room. There is a door in the back of the pool table area that leads to what looks like an alley that is gated off at the ends of each building with a few tables and smoking is allowed here. If you continue forward after going out the first door you come directly to the second door which leads to the main stage building. It has a huge open floor plan, which I love. No matter where you are, you get a good view. No mosh pits. They have a mini arcade area (pay to play) off in a section of the room with tables and chairs. We had a blast playing the games. Clean. Clean bathrooms. Good drinks. Pretty cool place.
First of all I love live music so the acoustic show was definitely for me. The place was clean and the folks were really friendly
I had a great experience here. There was a super cool bartender and cheap drinks with a decent variety. They even had a small menu of bar food. I really like the layout with the bar in a separate room from the stage so you can hear and order more easily. There's a little patio/smoking alley between buildings which is great to get air between shows. I would come back again for sure!
Ive been coming here a long time its always a good atmosphere great quality shows drinks are priced fair and the bartender McKenzie has always been super friendly with great communication skills and a very hard worker. I love this venue!!!
Really cool and spacious venue. Affordable drinks and cool special shots. Bartenders were really attentive. The venue kind of throws you for a loop but I guess that's why it's called The Vortex.
Great experience with staff and customers. Had a great time seeing some cool artist put on a show! Will be back again
Kingz and Thievz are an awesome new band, a must see! Im gonna give a shout out to Autumn Lies Buried awesome as well, great show guys!
