saw on IG, been wanting to go for a long time. A few weeks ago they posted that the menu would be changing and the "boiled potato" would be discontinued giving me Pride & Prejudice vibes. Didn't make it in time for the BP, but everything else at this place is awesome. from the fresh cut flowers on the table, quirky plant displays, place settings and attentive wait staff. drinks, entrees and dessert were splendid, but all my husband and I will talk about forever is the poutine. insanely good.
Fantastic. This place brings me happiness like no other. Recently got diagnosed with celiac and my god having a menu full of gluten free options that taste fantastic has brought me out of a depressed funk.
If I could rate this restaurant ten stars I would! The food was uniquely amazing and the service was fabulous! I wish I asked my server for her name.. she was incredible. We started off with poutine, amazing! For my entree I got the special, street tacos with pork belly and corn. We also got dessert… just had too! Beignets!. To die for. This place knows how to cook! I will be back. Highly recommend.
I visited the Square Scullery on 5/20/2022 and it was sooooo good! The decor was amazing, not sure what vibes I was getting from it but they were all good! The patio is small but really cute and well decorated. They use really nice flatware, very heavy duty, stylish, and sturdy. They also use really nice soft cloth napkins. We first had the fried brussel sprouts and they were amazing; we had the aioli and honey bacon. You can definitely tell they made their aioli from scratch and used real honey and thick cut bacon; the sprouts were so crispy!! These are a must try! Then I had the Fancy Burger topped with blue cheese, hydroponic lettuce, and crispy leeks, the beef is locally sourced and you can tell; it had such a fresh taste to it. The Old Bay fries was a really good pair. My fiancée had the chicken sandwich and the chicken was so fresh and you could definitely tell it was good quality. They also had a mustard that was ground from mustard seeds. To top it off, the service was really good as well. The only thing they’re missing is a drink menu; although they do have mocktails and craft drinks. I highly recommend this place to anyone. It is for sure a hidden gem!!
I'll be honest, a little over a year ago, I left this place a one star review. So, I was extremely hesitant to come back with friends when I got the invite. So, I'm pleased to say I finally had the experience all my friends raved about. Everything was exceptional. I will say a couple things, simply so others know because it's always helpful. The inside dining is only 3 small tables and a 3 person "bar" area. So, if you'd like you dine in, definitely make reservations. And speaking of bar, they do not have alcohol, but offer delicious mocktails. I got the Italian picnic sandwich with seasoned fries and we finished with their in house made cake and French press coffee. Everything was so flavorful! The atmosphere is full of personality even in such a small room and the service was amazing! I can now say that I can't wait to go back.
I went here with my significant other and her and I had a great time on the patio. Great food, great atmosphere, friendly staff.
Small and quaint with a hip fresh feel.. menu is creative and delicious with a mix and match of good flavor.. the place is small and intimate. Good luck walking in, Make your reservations!
My god was it good. We got pork ramen and duck ramen, with a side of corn ribs and it was all just killer.
On the way to winter formal, Bailey made the evening extra special! The food is always fantastic - fresh, fun, delicious- and the atmosphere is intimate and fun, but the amazing staff really seals the deal to make Square Scullery our favorite Akron eatery. We will be back again and again.
Very cute place. Very cute food. Just very bland unfortunately. Especially for the price. I decided to try them out after my night class after seeing the photos and reviews I had high hopes! I definitely see where they were trying to go with the food but fell short. I eat a lot of food from many cultures so I’m pretty good with flavor profiles. I will go again to try the meal with the Salmon and Risotto just to give them another shot since I really want to like them because they are a locally owned small business.
