Always a delightful experience food is always good and warm. Wait staff is always ready to serve with a smile and courteous. If you never have been before I highly recommend the galley boy alongside their potato tweezers they do have a little bite for people who can't stomach spice. Though for those that can and enjoy spice ask for their potato tweezers done Cajun.
I have gone there once a week for the last three weeks and the hamburgers are always cold. We had burgers today and all three of us got cold burgers today. The other people in the car did like the milkshakes though.
Wonderful service as always. Very fast and delicious food! This location has a very large and easy to navigate parking lot - unlike some of the other locations. No gluten free options, and not a lot of options that my husband could eat assuming that they weren't cross contaminated - probably just coleslaw. I love this place though so I'll be back!
The food was good but by the time I got there to the time I got my food was an hour and 10 minutes. After 30+ minutes of not having ordered my food, I downloaded the app and I placed the order through that. I placed it at 1:27 and was supposed to be ready at 1:47. Even after flagging someone down that said they would check on it, it still took 20 minutes after to actually get my food. This is not always the case but this trip was terrible.
Great food, pretty fast service only reason I can’t give them all 5 stars is instead of fries with my basket they gave me frickin fish Pattie’s! Lol
An Akron classic drive-in burger joint with signature burgers (the Galley Boy - a double cheeseburger with two special sauces) and things like deep fried mushrooms, malted milk shakes, and other mid-20th-century favorites delivered by running youths to your car window. Timeless and pretty tasty.
Ordered 1/4 pounder and poppers. Wife ordered Galley Boy and poppers.Food was perfect and curb Servers were fast and welcoming!!!
I moved to Ohio in the summer of 2020 and Swenson's has been a staple in my diet since. Their Gally Boys are delicious and their Cajun fries are ?? go eat here if you're out this way!
The service and quality of food here really didn't impress me. I know they're known for running and fast service, but I placed an order on their mobile app and it told me to pick it up at 5:44 p.m. We arrived at 5:46 and someone came right to my window, which was great, but then we waited 10 more minutes for the food to be brought to our window. Everything was correct in both our orders, but honestly, the quality just wasn't there. Our burgers were sloppily made with scant amounts of tarnished lettuce and buns that look like they squished them on purpose. I've been going to Swenson's for years and sadly, this place has been on a slow decline for me. I don't live in the area and I crave this flavor from time to time and on my last visit they left me craving the flavor I use to enjoy. Plus, they changed their ranch, gross!
My experience with Swensons was a positive one. The runners were polite and respectful; wait was minimal, and the food quality was excellent. Not to mention, the order was correct and premises was clean.
