For years I've heard from Akron natives about how good Swenson's is. So after moving to the area I had to check out what all the hype was about. I'm sorry Akron, but I don't get it. The Galley boy or however you spell it was just ok, definitely nothing to rave about. The fries were just ok too. However, the Jalepeno cheesy bite things were really good.To be honest, I really don't see myself going back. I would rather get a burger from five guys if I'm being honest. Again, sorry Akron, it's just not my thing.
Last time I tried a Swenson's the overall takeaway was that I should have stayed away to begin with. Greasy, sloppy, flavor lacking... Are some of the nicer ways to describe it. No matter what the paid-ad trip sites sat, Swenson's is NOT one of the best places in Ohio. Literally anywhere else would be as good or likely better.
Used to love Swensons, but their galley boy is smaller and do not like the sauce! Bring back the old galley boy What happened Swensons to the old galley boy?????
Visited the restaurant on Tuesday for some dinner and I unfortunately was given the wrong order by a trainee I honestly forgot the name of. Luckily another server named Josh fixed my order and had the correct food brought out to me quickly. Definitely a hard worker and appreciate the initiative taken to correct my order. Food was delicious.
The burgers used to be twice the size! I used to save half of my galley boy for later because they were so large. They used to have to put the burgers in one bag and sides in another. Sadly they all fit in one bag now. Won’t go back anymore which makes me so sad, because we have been going there for over a decade.Quality has slipped completely.
Easily top 5 burgers I ever had. Good fast food is hard to come by and this place was awesome. We came from out of town from Philly. The employees were literally sprinting from car to car because it was so busy and they were working so hard. Give these guys a raise! Spoke with Joe - he was very nice! Killer service. I would drive 6 hours from Philly just to eat here again.
Been coming here for years, never had bad food or service. The burgers are to die for and their kids meals are perfect. They have amazing egg salad sandwiches for vegetarians too. Their milkshakes are sooo good, and their seasonal flavors are always amazing. All of their staff are super polite and happy to help, especially Clay. I've been served a couple of times by him I've never seen him without a smile even in gross snowy weather. Definitely stop by at least once to cross it off your bucket list.
The Last time my Cheeseburger was DRY. way more bun than burger and the mushroom stems were so chewy..it was terrible. Today..our Galley Boy was great..and the shrooms..while a little over fried..still good!!
Pulled in tonight after a loooooong day of work in the cold. I was greeted promptly and friendly by Joseph. Being that it was late on a Saturday, I half expected my order to take a while. Joseph brought it out in less than 10min. Excellent service
This is the worst place ever. I don't recommend ordering from any delivery service they have because they can't get an order right I payed $25 for a meal they got wrong my sandwich didn't have any sauce on it and just the Cajun seasoning which isn't what I asked for on top of that I didn't get any sauce with the chicken snack nor did I get my actual side the potatoes. Just plain awful...this was my first time eating out and they disappointed me completely. I will never eat here ever again. Worst place you could eat at.
