No more table service, kiosk with a reduced menu. Foods good but we liked coming in sitting down and ordering from a human.
They have changed their setup. They've streamlined their offerings and have moved to a kiosk ordering system. You now seat yourself in the dining area. (You can also go drive thru and place orders online.)Had a delicious garlic steak burger. One kid had a bacon burger and fries. The other had a kid's hot dog and applesauce. Shakes are still on the menu, and they're still delicious.Great service. We needed a to-go cup for a milkshake and they were out up front. They were quick to getting that restocked.
Food is actually decent. I got a steakburger and it didn't taste like the typical fast food frozen burger... was very juicy. Only downside is the location i went to is in need of some remodeling inside (why i have it 4 stars). But they do have outdoor seating, drive through and curbside pickup available. All ordering inside is done via touchscreen.
The order accuracy was awful as far as our burgers were concerned. The fries were cold and the medium fries, though in a larger container, clearly had fewer fries than the small. I doubt I'll return in the near future.
So I just want to first state that the food was actually good. However, the restaurant itself was gross. We went in to eat and there wasn't a single table that was cleaned. The ceiling was absolutely disgusting. You can tell there is long time water seepage that has been ignored by the building owners. Drink station was a mess. No cups in the dispensers, just a stack on the side that had dirt and hair on them. If you go here, get it to go if you want to keep your appetite.
First thing I don't like the changes that have been made such as putting my order in for my table, serving my table myself, and clearing my table off. I'm not a waitress and I'm paying to much money for my food and drink that I want to be waited on! To top off our visit there was only one table in the entire restaurant that was clean and plenty of employees including the manager standing behind the counter having personal conversation (loud enough for all to hear so I knew it wasn't work related) when they all could have been cleaning up tables, service counters, floors, bathrooms, the two computers that customers place orders on, etc... I will not return to this Steak'nShake located in the Chapel Hill/Cuyahoga Falls area ever again! ABSOLUTELY one of the FILTHIEST restaurants and whoever is in charge of the running of it should be extremely ashamed of the management and staff!!! I wouldn't let my pets be feed from there!!!
They were kind. My food was fresh. The sodas weren't flat. And even though they had staff shortages, I didn't have to wait long for my food.
It's completely automated. No waiters or waitresses, you order your food at the Kisco and get your own drinks. Food was actually extremely good and done fast too. I personally prefer humans over machines though.
This place is never open. Can’t count how many time I come at 7,8,9:00 and they are closed. Today the women at the drive thru was rude. Ordered a five piece, they gave me a 3. Went back through and she opens the window and shoved the bag out and slams the window shut. Meanwhile one of the cooks walks outside to smoke a cigarette, walks up to a car and pulls a ten out of his pocket , hands it to the guy and puts a bag in his pocket...?? Seriously? Drug deals in the parking lot? Do better
I'm normally a huge fan of all things to do with this brand, however, this particular store isn't a good instance of Steak N' Shakes that occur with in this area of Ohio. My main complaints were with the time taken waiting at the drive thru line just to place my order. After explaining that my order was set to be picked up at a certain time because it was placed online, she told me to pull forward. There again, I waited for at least 10 minutes for my food to be handed off thru the window. The burgers were put together with very little effort or pride and the fries were pretty soft. I will say the cherry Coke was pretty well made! This was meant to be a quick stop, otherwise, I would've went back to rectify my issues with the store. Instead, because of their lack of care and attentiveness to a random stranger's order, I will classify them as a 3 star, not return and urge others to take the time to head to a real burger joint right down the street, mainly, Swenson's. They do it better and have been doing it for longer!
