First time there. Great atmosphere. Drinks are delicious. I felt like I was on vacation. Our waitress was great! She said one of her kids worked there too. She was attentive and happy. Food was good. I will go back.
The setting is great. We sat at a table right by the lake. The food was good. We ordered the mahi mahi appetizer, which was good but not great. We ordered a side salad to share, which was large and quite good. The balsamic vinaigrette really made it a great tasting salad. For dinner, I got the blackened shrimp tacos, which were excellent. The sauce that came with it was especially good. My friend ordered the quinoa with black beans, corn, and Cauliflower. (Sadly, there was no cauliflower.) It was pretty good, but for the price we expected better. Disappointingly, they were out of beers on tap, too, so I got a bottle of Dortmunder Gold and my friend got a Corona. What wasn't good at all was the service. Both tables next to us came after us but got their food before us. When the server finally brought our food, she brought it altogether. We were expecting to get the appetizer and salad before the main meals, but that didn't happen. Not sure why. Worse, we had no silverware. When the server came back 5 minutes later and asked how the food was, we said we didn't know because we had no silverware to eat it with. She sort of apologized and went to get some. It was at least another 5 minutes before she came back. By that point our food was getting cold. We still ate it, and it was still tasty, but it would have been better if warmer. Back in the day when I was a waiter, I would have told my manager what a clusterf*ck performance I had given the customers and asked him/her to check in with the table and if necessary make things right. But that didn't happen. I rarely complain at restaurants, but the fact we didn't get our food for nearly 35 minutes, and then didn't get silverware for another 10 is absolutely unacceptable. I would have complained if there had been someone to complain to, but I saw no manager our entire time there (close to 2 hours). With so many other good restaurants in the area, it may be a while before I go back to this place, if ever. Sad, because the restaurant setting is positively lovely (though there are three flights of steps to get down to the lower level, challenging for people with disabilities).Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
Very nice. Great service even though it got really busy, thank you Justine R! Loud later in the evening but understandable. Lovely evening with my dad.
I think my expectations was high it wasn't what I assumed! Our waitress was cool tho the food wasn't that good. Scenery was ok decent music couldn't really hear it outside. I do want to go back tho for the water bike.
I loved the view of the lake! I ordered a burger cooked medium but came out charcoal. The chicken was not edible that my husband & mom ordered. The nacho chip appetizer was disappointing. Prices was high for such terrible food. They were blasting the music so loud I was unable to have a conversation with my family during the hour wait for our food.
While we usually start our reviews off with a quirky, descriptive rhetorical question, our experience at this casual lakeside charmer was so good it doesn’t need one! We grant five star reviews sparingly because we want to save them for dining experiences that truly deserve them, and WOW does Table 530 fit the bill. If you decide to hit up this beautiful gem along Portage Lakes (which you should), we highly recommend making a reservation for dining experiences after five o’clock; not only are they busy, but with our reservation we were greeted by their incredibly friendly staff and seated immediately upon arriving. If you’re into alcohol beverages, you’ve got to check out their super unique cocktail menu; we tried the New Blood Orange and the Caramel Espresso and were incredibly impressed by both! For a starter, we went with the Cast Iron Mac and cannot recommend this enough. We’re always here for a good Mac and cheese, but they sometimes don’t always pack the punch we’re looking for. We can assure you, however, that Table 530’s baked white cheddar and Gouda version was more than worth it. By the time we had dug into our drinks and appetizer, we didn’t think it could possibly get any better, but were truly mistaken! For the main course, we went with the Lobster Ravioli and the Blackened Salmon Dinner. The creamy filling in the ravioli was Out. Of. This. World. And even better, it came with a little bowl of mussels tossed in their signature vodka cream sauce! The Blackened Salmon came cooked to perfection and drizzled with their delicious blue cheese cream sauce. It also came atop a serving of their smoked Gouda risotto, which somehow made the entree even BETTER. And as if the experience wasn’t perfect enough already, we ended the night sitting out on the sunshine-filled patio overlooking the beautiful Portage Lakes. Table 530 was the perfect anniversary date night experience, and we cannot wait for our next chance to stop back in!
Just a fair statement we did go on a Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and this place has a boat "swim-up bar" if you will, so your experience may be different with the timeframe. It took about 45 minutes for our Cauliflower wings and Salmon BLT to get to us. Servers were very busy, but were also so very friendly and we didnt care about the time as this place is Huge!!! They have alot going on which is awesome and a must see! Walking through the main entrance is a fancy showroom that is available for reservations, but outside is where it is happening! Three levels of viewing the river! The food and drinks were all so good and the servers so nice, and watching the boats pull up was very cool!
If you're looking to just hang out all day, this is the perfect place! However if you'd like your food in a timely manner, I'd recommend not going on a day with nice weather. They clearly seated way more people than their kitchen could serve between the dining room and large patio. I waited over an hour and a half for food. The food was not worth the wait. The wings were dry and very mediocre.
Delicious food!Exquisite taste, and sumptuous delight felt in every bite!It was nice and breezy with a great atmosphere and a good taste of music!Great service, as well! Always on top of making sure you had a full glass of...well sweet tea for me, but probably something else for most. X)
Great Atmosphere, on the lake with a perfect view! Great food. Half middle aged crowd an half young crowd when you stay later into the night. Chicken Wrap was huge to what I typically get. So I was happy to take home leftovers! Give me a follow, an check out DayOwlViews
