I tried to enjoy a walk in "The Park".From their website: "Easy to walk with subtle hills and short distance from greens to tees, The Park is perfect for the healthy golfer looking to get in a little exercise." EXCEPT IF IT'S A WEEKEND MORNING. As a golfer that plays the game by walking, it is inexcusable that they DO NOT ALLOW YOU to walk weekend mornings. Its sad that a city course does not encourage a healthy lifestyle and exercise. This policy was set by the City of Akron and not the golf course.The staff is always friendly. The course is challenging and is generally in good shape.
If you order the Applebee's 2 for $24 on date night, this is the course for you. The people's course. ?
Course is in excellent shape compared to years past. Tight and narrow fairways with fast sloping greens! 4 stars due to a woman employee who was super rude and doesn'tknow golf etiquette!
Went out to play 9 Tuesday at 3 with my girlfriend, course was not busy. After checking that no one was on #10 and #8, #9 were empty asked starter if we could go play back nine. He said no, I asked why not and he replied “because I said so”. I asked again and he was loud and rude, saying “go play the front”.I live in Akron and see why this is a money pit for the city even though the course was in excellent condition.
Rest bartender..a sweet heart..forgot her name but made sure I had the biggest martini glass!! Great hospitality n service!
Pro shop check in guy was manner less. He acted like we were bothering him. Course wasn't bad. No water hazards and tree lined fairways made it feel like groundhogs day. No fluid in any ball washers. Overall - not worth $30.
Love this golf course. We'll maintained. Old large trees throughout the course make it beautiful. Prices are fair, staff is good. Carts are excellent. Hard to ask for more.
Great shape for this early in the season, greens are not super fast "yet", lolOnly downfall, no restrooms on the course, they need to work on that.Great course
Excellent shape. Pace a play was great. We played Friday morning. About 3 hrs and 50 minutes. Will go back soon.
Great greens n fairways. Tee boxes need a little TLC tho. Over all a good track.
