This was my dad’s favorite breakfast spot. Today was the one year anniversary of his passing. We had breakfast there and our waitress had a seat there for my dad. She wrote his name on the place setting and even had a cup of coffee there for him. Katie, went above and beyond to make our experience fantastic. My dad was definitely smiling down from Heaven. Thank you, Katie! We are blessed to have had someone so wonderful on such an emotional day. Forever grateful, Roger Tallman’s Family! ❤️
I took my mom to Fred’s for breakfast yesterday. The staff was very friendly and the service was speedy. The food is always great at Fred’s. Especially the bacon. It’s the best around and the portions are very generous. I love the true diner atmosphere and recommend it highly. Fred’s never disappoints!
I moved to Akron about a year ago. Fred’s is easily my favorite place here. The food is great, the atmosphere is comfortable like a childhood best friends house, and the staff have a warm and semi sarcastic charm to them. Portions are huge and I love you daddy Fred!! ❤️❤️

Never go to a business with stupid slogan " eat, pay, get out" Insanely offensive. It's like eating in a prison cafeteria, pure ghetto.
What a pleasure to eat at Fred's Diner and discover everything is the same, although it's been years since I'd been there. The small space is crowded, but that just shows you how good the food is. :)I've included photos of the menu. It was hard to decide, but I chose a 3 egg omelette with cheese and bacon with a side of homefries and wheat toast. My dining companion had chicken and dumplings. We both dug in before I thought 'oh no! I forgot to take a picture!'. Yes, I'm that person, but only to back up the reviews I leave. Fred's Diner is a welcome alternative to the chain restaurants, and boy does that kitchen staff put out the food quickly! A lot of hustle there. Well done guys!
My breakfast was great as always. Had an omelet and bacon of course. My boyfriend decided to try the French toast. Said they could have been great but tasted like a dirty grill. That part was a bummer. Only disappointment ever so we still give them 5 stars because it's usually amazing.
Not really big on eating out for breakfast, but this place was a game changer. Service was perfect, food was perfect and so was the atmosphere. Waitresses were very patient and gave excellent services. Now one of my favorite places to enjoy food.
We love Fred’s Diner!! Food is amazing, good, and a great value. We have small kids so usually grab carryout, and the food is still amazing and delicious at home! There isn’t one thing on the menu we have tried that we haven’t liked,it’s all good! Cheeseburgers are phenomenal, and the bacon is the best around!
A friend suggested this diner for breakfast. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the food was very good, impressive serving sizes & service was good. I will be back! I had the eggs, bacon, homefries and toast with a side of their sausage gravy and he had their omlette with homefries and a side of bacon.
