My friend that lives in Akron suggested we have dinner there. The restaurant was full but Eric waited on us right away. We had to wait awhile but not to long for our dinner. I had the "Pine Nut Crusted Grouper Salad. I use to have a catering company and I had a great meal there. My meal was OUTSTANDING. The fish was cooked perfected and the salad was great. The owner took time to spend a little time with us and was very pleasant. I am sorry to read some of the other comments about Edgar's and hope you might want to try them.

I understand the staffing issues but the dinner to take nearly 2 1/2 hours! Plus the prices were more than I expected. There are better places with better service in Akron. Never again!

My husband and I stopped in for dinner Saturday. We wanted to support this restaurant because it was on Restaurant Impossible and we thought it would be a good choice. We live about 80 minutes from here. I will say the ribs were good. The prime rib was probably the worst I had ever gotten. On our visit we sat outside on their patio. A table away, a man was smoking a cigar, (A nasty one at that) Then his friends come over to visit with him. We did not go there to listen to "Jive" and "F" bobs being dropped. What could have been a nice evening turned out to be such a disappointment.

was with a friend her food never came out, she cancelled the order and the staff harassed us out to our car -HORRIBLE

We were last here in 2019, and thought we’d try again. Nothing about the food and expense is worth visiting again. It’s a shame because the setting is beautiful.

Loved the atmosphere the food not so much will try something different next time plus they were out a lot of food in the menu.

After striking out on getting in on 3 restaurants, we found ourselves headed to Edgars at Good Park Golf Course. We had not been there since the restaurant makeover. We were thouroughly impressed. Our waiter, Dionte, was quite simply spectacular in every way. The service we received throughout our meal was superb. We had 3 meals, Smoked fried chicken, lamb chops, and pork chops. I had the smoked fried chicken and only had a leg and thigh which I thought was a little disappointing for $19. (the only downside to the night) The other 2 meals were both very generous portions and all three meals were flavorful and tasty. I would certainly recommend Edgars to all looking for a great meal.

“Koo doos”to the chef. BBQ and fish was great! The SERVICE, which we later found out was the MANAGER, needs much improvement. Took forever to get drinks, water, and to place our order. We received Edgars gift cards when golfing in a men’s tournament, so we tried to use them at the restaurant. Only one per table is their “policy”. Well you have 2 golfers, separate checks, they would like to socialize at the same table, ONLY ONE GC! Separate orders and checks, but one GC! We don’t live close so it will be inconvenient to return. Sad a $50 card will go to waste. 2 checks, 2 separate payments,BUT ALLOWED TO USE ONLY ONE GC! Plus, the staff were drinking shots at the bar!

The venue has two full bars, TVs, indoor and outdoor seating with view of the golf course. Seafood stuffed catfish, side salad with white French dressing and key lime pie were simply delicious.

We ate on the patio. Food was fantastic. Piping hot, flavourful and perfectly cooked. Outstanding service. All 5 of us were pleased with our meals. Plenty of vegetarian options along with some great meat and seafood options. Loved the BBQ ribs, grouper salad and catfish. If you are wanting to dine outside this is a great option during Covid crisis.Every time we come here we are talking about when our next trip back will be. Beautiful scenery . So serene. Highly recommend. Worth the 45 minute drive.
