Love this little market, it's perfect for picking up great tasting Italian food. Prepared options or take home and cook yourself. They have awesome desserts, and snacks too!
What can i say, a GREAT market. The aroma when you walk in the front door it's like walking into the front door of Grandma's. Everyone is so kind and helpful and there is plenty of help always. They all seem to get along they all help each other it's just a wonderful experience going there. The prepared foods are just like Grandma's. The desserts are oh my goodness great. Don't hesitate to give this gem a try I believe you will not be sorry.
I have shopped at Devitis since high school. I remember walking over from North and buying the Hoagie's for lunch since the cafeteria food sucked, that being said 30 years later, still one of my favorite stores. The variety of food offerings is awesome especially if you like Italian food. The staff has always been pleasant. I could spend hours in this place. The lunch specials are some of the best in Akron. If you like quality you won't mind the prices. Which by the way aren't that bad. Keep up the good work
The food is amazing. Staff is nice. Cannolis are delicious (though I miss when they made them fresh for you). I never make it in time for the hot bread but the one time I did, amazing.
The best meatballs. They taste like I spent hours in the kitchen making them myself. I love coming here to get my homemade Italian food.
I love DeVitis! We always get great food. If you have not stopped in for lunch or to grab a must have bottle of wine for dinner I highly recommend you so soon.
Been going here since I was a kid. Excellent service, excellent products. I have to control myself every time I stop here because the delicious smells make me so hungry that I want to buy everything. ?Please support local businesses.. I don’t ever want to be without DeVitis!
Stopped here with my husband for the first time to grab a sandwich and some side salads to go with! It smelled wonderful walking in and the store was immaculate and organized and the staff was very friendly! I also have to say that we were very satisfied with our Italian Hoagie, it was absolutely delicious and we will definitely be back!!
I worked off Home avenue as a teenager back in the 70's and we often stopped at DeVitis for our lunch. Fast forward to today and the sandwiches are every bit as delicious as they were back then. Slightly dry and chewy Italian roll that super absorbs oil/vinegar or mayo, delicious veggies, cheeses and meats. I'm glad I stopped again and I promise not to wait so long next time!
Literally the best tiramisu I have ever had, dare I say better than Olive Garden and half the price. I bought them all; my favorite dessert and I'm highly judgemental and picky about it, it has to be made right for me to even consider it. It's truly authentic, good ingredients, not too overpowering with coffee, it's moist on the bottoms light fluffy airy creamy and magnificent on the top. I also got a cherry cheesecake as well that was home made and good, a chocolate cake with A thick chocolate ganache in between, the cake is moist as well, a strawberry cake slice that was pretty good. Im going to see how I can get my hands on the spaghetti sauce.
