Ok. So it was Mother's day, and putting that aside, the food was very good and our server was very friendly. My concern is with management I guess. There never seems to be enough staff at this location. Cooks and servers. We use to go there frequently and stopped because of this issue and they often ran out of items. Again this ISN'T a server/ cook issue.
There were 3 other people dining in. I took my son and we got burgers. I was expecting just super average food when the burgers come out. I kid you not..........these burgers were HUGE and JUICY and DELICIOUS!!! FROM DENNY'S!!!! It blew my mind! And nobody is going to this place when they're making burgers like this?!?!?!? Are you kidding me???? Get the word out people! Go to Denny's in Chapel Hill!!
My friend had (Ala carte) 1 egg over easy, cheesy hash browns, toast.....all good. (Ala carte because she asked for 1 pancake...they only serve them 2 at a time). 1 would have cost same as 2.I had veggie omelet, hash browns, fruit cup. Omelet was very good & fluffy. All else good.Seating took 15 min. even though plenty of available tables. Service was very slow. Appeared to us to be too many customers for 2 waitresses, which caused waitresses to repeatedly apologize for slow service.
Stopped for coffee due to the free refills... Ended up having the triple grand-slam breakfast meal on account of it being my b-day month. Meal was cooked well... waitress seemed a little edgy!
The website claims they're open 24/7, so does the door posting,,, but surprise- they closed 15 minutes after we entered. It was midnite, and we were given 15 minutes to experience the magical 'Dennys'. Anyway, the waitress was fabulous and the restaurant decor/cleanliness was really nice!!I'll go back, just alot earlier
Facilities were very clean the waitresses were very friendly they went above and beyond I had a great experience my food was delicious
This is what I received for the zesty nachos I ordered, and to top it off , their phone is either disconnected or changed, so I'm going to have to drive all the way back up there and hope they can get some simple nachos correct a second time.. smh.. who would send this out of the kitchen as a complete order.. ???
Very good burger but my onion rings were cold in the 10 minutes it took me to get home and they forgot my slice of pumpkin pie. They were out of pecan pie. Took longer to get them to take my order than it did to make it and give it to me.
Had the opportunity to visit New Years morning. Although there was only one server, you could never tell by her prompt and accurate delivery of the orders. All with a pleasant demeanor to boot. A real gem!
All I can say is they will never get my money again. I hadn’t eaten at Denny’s I awhile and the food was good. My order was placed after midnight and it was terrible as if a child was in the kitchen cooking. My burger was burnt to a crisp and I had maybe ten french fries. This was also the only place open that late on a Saturday night. I should have went to bed hungry and kept my $25 in my pocket.
