Not sure why this place has such good reviews. When I first walked in the woman with the mole on her face was super rude to me and assumed I had a pick up order. I almost walked out and didn't even order because of the way she was talking to me.I placed my order and was up charged 3.85 for noodles instead of rice. Very expensive for noodles and first time I've ever been up charged for noodles instead of rice. The orange chicken was the color of general Tso's chicken (almost black) It doesnt even taste like orange at all. The chicken is overly salty and upset my stomach. The chicken tastes like a beef ramen flavoring packet. I was given only 1 little piece of brocolli and no cabbage, no onion, and no carrot. For a Chinese food restaurant Chin's Place left me disappointed. I would say Chin's Place missed the mark, but it didn't even come close to being authentic Chinese cuisine. I've eaten more authentic store bought microwaved cooked Chinese food. Solid 0 out of 10.For all the people that rated this place so high, you all have never eaten good authentic Chinese food. Especially if you think this place is good. I would be laughing if I didnt just waste my money.
Could be mom's 80 yr old taste buds but the flavor and texture of the sweet and sour chicken made her ill so she did not eat it. A family member we attended the zoo with suggested it so we went. The family member ordered general tsos chicken and was satisfied with the sweet and spicy concoction and said the portion was fair. When they were located on copley rd more than 20 years ago we were regularly ordering the teriyaki steak on a stick which melted in our mouths like filets. I no longer consume the cuisine and therefore ordered nothing for myself.
This is our spot for Chinese food. My father-in-law loves it and he doesn't live near here! The lady at the pick-up window is so nice and friendly. There's no other Chinese restaurant that we even consider.
It's been a while since I've eaten here and the food is just as good as I remember. Great mix of veggies and chicken in the General Tso's, fried rice is very flavorful, and the Lo Mein is perfectly balanced. Portions are very good and service is quick.
Moved here from Cleveland and i have tried every chinese food around and Chins place hands down is the best I love their Cantonese chicken so much i wish they delivered
Overrated and does not live up to the hype. Had Mongolian Beef and Garlic Shrimp. Ate a small portion of each and threw the rest in trash. Terribly dissapointing.
Way over priced. The fried rice was on point but we also got a pint of general TSO and there was barely any meat inside it was mostly veggie
All the food at this place is great. I've been known to go out of my way for their hot and sour soup, though.
I LOVE Chinese food im obsessed I get it all the time but this was the WORST I've ever had. it was so dry there was no sauce my chicken was literally white no sauce at all try af. The noodles tasted terrible again no sauce. I want a refund but I doubt ill get it and I have no dinner for tonight. thanks chins place. NASTY
The best Chinese in Akron. I recommend the curry chicken and potatoes. They also have some good tofu options if you are vegetarian or like tofu.
