Late snack after ballgame (10:30). Had chicken quesadillas. Friend had boneless wings and wonton tacos. All three very good.Restaurant was clean. Service was slow....due to few waitresses trying to cover entire restaurant. Our waitress, once we were seated, was friendly and order taken and food to table fairly quickly.Seems same issue that I encounter quite often these days....unable to hire add'l people for shifts.
Went in waited five minutes for host to walk out from in back, still chewing her food tell me she has to go clean a table went again in back and never came back out to seat us. My family waited a total of 10 minutes before we walked out . I'm a server at a short staffed restaurant, I know how it is. But the way it was handled is different. Especially since you came out front eating I'm sure you went in back again to finish eating instead of clearing a table. No name tag was being worn or else I would've added a name
I ordered their bourbon street chicken and shrimp with added mushrooms and fries. I order this often, but tonight the chicken was twice murdered. Tonight I was truly unsatisfied with the dish and the cook for ruining my lunch.
I felt bad because they only had one waitress. She was really nice an very calm. We did wait a while on the food. Not sure if they were short in the kitchen as well. I assume it was the manager helping too. They really did their best. I just felt bad for them working short-handed.
We went in and couldn't even get anyone to greet or seat us. Just a few customers throughout the dining room and a couple at the bar. But only 1 wait staff could be seen and bartender who looked our way a couple times but never acknowledged our presence. It was very sad. We stood there about 10 minutes and walked out and went to Chili's. Great service and food there!
Stopped in and waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged, then was told by hostess, she needed to wipe the table, get to table, still crumbs and sticky cup rings on table. SMH... Then I noticed how dirty and dusty everything else was, we didn't dare touch the little ipad on table. Kinda wished I took pictures, I'm sure that some kind of health code violation. That flared my asthma and had me coughing and sneezing. While we waited 15 minutes to order our drinks, played it safe and ordered a classic appetizer when we ordered our drinks, took 5 minutes to get our waters, in which 1 out of 2 cups still appeared dirty. And another 40 minutes for our cold appetizer, all while this place had very few customers and I basically had yell for the server for my check, after waiting 30 minutes for her to come break my money for her tip! Her loss, that waiting game took her $10 dollar tip to $1. I got tired of waiting and paid exact change and $1 dollar tip and walked out. Worse experience I've ever had at an Applebee's was this location and I won't be back.
No one of no where to seat us because they haven't got but 2 people when we went. So we left and went to bomba taco place and I wish we just went home at the end of that. Not trying to complain lol but If only Applebees had enough servers...There actually was a woman who said she was there for an interview.
It's unfortunate to leave this review. For the 2nd time in 3 months my card was overcharged. Both times by $10.00. I left a cash tip on the table. I called to speak with a manager and was left on hold for 13 minutes. It's upsetting because we enjoy eating here. But you won't keep stealing from me. I don't care if it was $1.00. I work for my money. Do better Applebee's!! It may not matter to you but we will not be back!!!
6:30pm on a Saturday night and they had 2 servers. 1 hour 45 min wait for a table, or 30 min wait for the bar. One individual was sitting at the bar….if you don’t have that staff don’t open the restaurant.
Food was good, service was also good. Atmosphere was effected by clientele. Hopefully it was just a bad night, we had the same experience at our hotel on same night.
