Good food, good service, would recommend. I enjoyed the food and the quietness of the restaurant it still had the standard hurbis but it never seemed that loud compared to other places.
I had a taco salad with a side of potato salad. My husband had the steak and shrimp. His steak was cooked to his liking! My taco salad was the best in town! They had the packets of taco seasoning on the side, and the salsa on the side. Happy to say that the taco salad was not soggy but crunchy like it's supposed to be!
Great place to eat, and the staff and owner are very nice. Everyone does a great job, with a smile on their face.

Heavily understaffed , the staff who DOES work here is definitely nice tho! However , i ordered the egggs bender it like i do at any new restaurant… I wonder if they have ever had good hollandaise sauce before …. Bc this was probably the worst I’ve had in all my travels :/. My husbands food was good and so was my daughters tho
Wow how did we miss coming to Homesteaders? The food, the service absolutely ? Excellent. We met the owner Mr Dean Alberle. This Restaurant has been in business for over 40 years. Mr Alberle went to the kitchen and brought out 2 freshly made home pancakes for us to try. Umm GOOD ?. We will be back.
Great place for breakfast. We went early in the morning and the place was nearly empty, which was great. I had the chicken fried steak, but the best ever but only 10.75 so I will definitely be back again. Service was promt and polite and the coffee was endless. If you are in a budget and care about quality then you must check this place out while in Minot.
We usually like Homesteaders. Our hot hamburger was soggy bread with water down gravy and maybe a 1/4 cup size mashed potato blob. Aweful! The mozzarella sticks tasted horrible I couldn’t eat any. I took 1 bite and spit it out. The pop was pure syrup. Our waitress was super friendly and it’s a nice clean place so I know we’ll be back but we wasted a nice evening on horrible food and walked away disgusted and hungry!
Very welcoming place. Quiet enough to enjoy a conversation. Good food. Good service. You've got to blow my socks off to get five stars. They weren't disappointing. Will be returning.
