It might be a chain running from Anchorage, AK to Augusta, ME but it’s worth it simply because their sweet rolls are THE best. I don’t give 5 star reviews often but the rolls get the 5th star for me. They are light, fluffy, chewy, sweet, come warm with sweet butter. And Every time I ask with guilt for a 2nd basket they are kind to give it and of course I take 3-4 rolls home because they are so good. I’m glad the rolls and food are made pretty much the same in most states as I travel a lot. The only things I was a bit miffed about: I sat right in front of the waiter for a good 20 minutes with nothing but my silverware and drink before I asked him politely for a basket of rolls. I guess maybe at this Grand Forks location I have to ask? Not sure but usually they bring it to the table for starters. Then i was asked by a nice female manager (?) who was running around making sure everyone had everything they needed and she asked if I needed anything and I told her I was waiting for rolls I just asked for after 20 minutes of sitting here. She was very nice and attentive the whole time. She was the one to ask most of the time if I needed anything throughout the meal and not my waiter who wasn’t inundated with customers. It was pretty late when I went. So the 5 stars is for her great service and kindness and friendliness and for the waiter giving me the extra rolls at the end. The salmon was a bit salty but I washed it down with the rolls. The best thing in the world. The chili is always good with quality beef with little fat and just enough cumin and the fresh onions and cheese makes it hit the spot. The mac and cheese...I love how the chef made it because the pasta was not soggy or old. It seemed like it was a fresh batch that was just right and almost a bit chewy as I love pasta that way and had lots of cheesy sauce as mac n cheese should be.
If you had 100 stars we'd give them all to you.Was our first time at your restaurant and was the best experience ever. From the friendly staff to the absolute devine steak dinner.And even though you were swamped with customers on Sunday,. Service was fast.PS.... You make killer margaritas,. The key lime one was crazy delicious.We will definitely be back the next time we visit from Canada.
Very attentive, efficient, sweet waitress....her name evades me...slim, dark long hair, working tables left of booze seating. Hubby is fussy and his steak and broccoli was cooked to specifications perfectly!!! ? Love the hot rolls and butter, and received yummy peanuts! Food is excellent no matter what we order, and our kind of atmosphere! ? Left happy and full, despite blizzard outside?
Always get excellent service and food is great. We especially like the bins with apple butter and the porterhouse is my favorite steak!
I would not recommend this place. I placed a carryout order today and when the food arrived the steaks were severely burned. This is the second time this has occurred with this establishment. I brought this to the attention of the manager and he came across as though he didn't care. While waiting for replacement steaks, I observed one of the workers bringing someone's order to the carryout area. Another worker opened one of the containers and that food was burned as well. After checking the food she still gave the customer that burned steak and ribs. That's ridiculous! I will never go back to this place. They could care less about their customers experience.
Though there aren't many options for steak here in Grand Forks, even if there were, you'd be unlikely to get the kind of service and value you do at Texas Roadhouse. We've had a few issues when ordering for pickup, but they've always been more than willing to fix anything that's within their power to do so. This is my go to place for steak when I'm too lazy (or it's just too cold) to make my own.Bonus points; they'll actually Pittsburgh a steak with pretty good results!
We go here about once a year and last Friday was one of those visits. The prime rib was a bit tough and not too my liking and the Mac and cheese tasted like they forgot the cheese. HOWEVER, we had the most amazing server I've ever had in my life! She made up for the food issues (I never even mentioned the food to anyone). As an over the road truck driver I'm unfortunately in a lot of restaurants and she is by far better than any server I've come across in my 35 years driving. This young lady was funny from the get go, making us laugh and feel as comfortable as if we were having a lunch at a family members. (I know I would enjoy her company more than most of my extended family lol) . She was attentive to our needs, but didn't harass us when we took a while to order . I literally wanted her to sit down and have dinner with us, like she was my daughter. (I meant it girl, this ole woman would adopt you lol)If roadhouse ever loses her due to something they've done, I hope they'll go begging at her feet to come back. I'd go back just to joke around and hang out with her again.If you're going there, call ahead and make sure she is working, then when you get there, ask for her section..... YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Just keep in mind you can't adopt her, I saw her first!The young lady in referring too is...........CARSON !!!!!So go to the grand forks location to experience the best server you'll ever meet
My wife and I really enjoyed a great meal. The salads were fresh and tasty. Our steaks were juicy, tender and cooked to perfection. The wait staff was friendly and happily took care of our every need. We were reminded we have to get back to Texas Roadhouse more often.
Walked in to use coupons I received for Christmas was there around 8p on 1/6/22. We were on the chili side thing because it was -26 we just needed to warm up. We ordered and thought we would start to warm but we didn't it was freezing and didn't seem like it was warm anywhere. We decided to get ours to go not going to wear my jacket to eat. Paid my bill didn't even use the coupons had to go too cold. Shouldn't be open if it's that cold in there.
