I love this place because it’s some what off the beaten path, clean and always has friendly staff. Normally for lunch I get a double burger with either a light beer or a root beer and it’s most defiantly my favorite part of coming through town for lunch. The bathrooms are extremely clean, floors spot free and the tables clean which is so hard to find these days! Will always be my first choice when coming through BIS!
I have been a loyal JL Beers patron from Grand Forks to Bismarck. I like their beer selection and their food. My family tried eating here with our one-month old baby, but were not allowed as we had someone under 21. If this is their own policy, they should change it. If this is due to liquor licensing law, then we should have the law changed. Until then, we unfortunately cannot patronize this restaurant until all our kids are older - not sure if it would be worth the trouble of finding a sitter to go to JL Beers as a date night.
So to begin I go here pretty regularly food is good along with beers. With that being said I stopped in it was pretty loud and I didn’t wait to be seated we seated ourselves, spaced it out (our bad). By the time we got to where we were gonna sit we realized that the bartender taller dark haired gal must’ve been trying to talk to us because when we heard her she was fuming because we didn’t wait for her to seat us and proceeds to give us a bunch of attitude... When I go out to a restaurant and am going to give YOU money, and TIP YOU. I recommend you just keep the attitude to yourself.
Great Food! Food was made very quick since the grill is right there up front! Wonderful experience!
Excellent tap beer selection and tasty burgers at a reasonable price. Limited table seating so we had to eat at the bar. Sides and dips cost extra but are large enough to share - especially the dips.
Great staff, awesome burgers, great beer selection, and really cool vibe. I'm not a huge fan of the fries, but my preference. The burgers remind me of Steak N Shake

the waitress was very good. beers were reasonably priced, but a little high. Burger prices were a joke, small burgers with no fries included for ten bucks is a major rip-off. i will definitely not got go back.
Kind of a normal bar but with a ton of beer selection. The sandwich I had was good but nothing extraordinary. The fries are above average, thought! I'd stop here again!
Good beer ? on tap I had a mushroom burger it was good made to order my fries where very salty but they took them back and made me another batch no salt tasted great.
