The atmosphere is is great, whether that be for brunch/coffee, or wine and cheese. Definitely a sweet little place to go to in town if you want to treat yourself to something a little fancy.
I love this place. Their food is exemplary coupled with humble service. I love their coffee. My favorite dish is Porchetta Hash. The flavors explode and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and sense the care that goes into the dish.Highly recommended.
The first few times my husband and I went to this place, we were in love. Super knowledgeable staff, the food was outstanding, and bartenders and servers more than willing to sit and talk to us about random things; where we were from, what we like to drink etc. The last three times I have been here, the food is still outstanding, but the service has become terrible. We went for my birthday this past year and I left before my wine glass was even empty. It took me almost 25 minutes to get my glass of wine. Nobody came to apologize about it, much less acknowledge that it took so long. There were more than enough servers on staff that night, none of them just seem to care that my husband and I were the only people in the restaurant. I went and sat tonight at the bar, the whole thing to myself, and I saw the bartender maybe twice. I had a super nice, helpful, knowledgeable server who occasionally checked on me and brought me my food and eventually my second glass of wine. Aside from that, the bartender finally came back about an hour after the last time I saw him, and had no idea that I had already paid and was on my way out. It’s all such a shame because this place is somewhere that I used to consider a hidden gem in Bismarck. Now I have to talk myself into going whenever I feel up to it. Figure the service out and this place will get back on my “A-list”.
This is my favorite place in town the coffee, tea and pastries are always delicious. I love going here to study, the atmosphere is authentic and calming. The food has also been amazing every time I have had lunch here!
Absolute worst experience I believe I ever had. Had to go up to the bar to order. Dinner was brought before the appetizer. No plates, no cutlery. My husband works in a prison, the kids meal was served in the same plastic trays that the prison serves. I could go on and on. Food was less than average. Do not waste your time or money.
Love this place! Always have great drinks, food and service!
Oct 1, 2021 Cold meatballs (but still very tasty. ) Warm Reisling. Hard red potatoes. Squash so hard could not pierce with a fork. Carrots very hard as well but edible. Tasty chicken and green salsa. Asked gal that sat us for water it never came. Asked server who took order for water and it came with our dinner. Once we had our food nobody came back to our table.
Every meal has a lot of thought put into it. The ingredients also are of the highest quality they can get.In conclusion. The taste of these meals reach towards the heavens. 10/10 experience
The large charcuterie board I ordered for a party was excellent. Guests loved it and not a morsel was leftover.
My husband and I stopped in for espresso and dessert. My mocha was bitter and needed 3 sugar packets to make it drinkable, and the gluten free brownie wasn't sweet. We've tried this place for dinner before, and their entries are not enjoyable. Lite portions and bitter, savory flavors make for a disappointment for date night. Don't waste your night out at Anima Cucina!
