Delicious Mexican food in the heart of Downtown Winston! Ordered the Birria & Shrimp tacos. Smashed them!!Came with hot sauce that was/is LEGIT the hottest I've EVER tasted (& I like HOT stuff). But can we also talk about the vibe of this place?! The Art is Ahhhhhmazing!! Service was slightly lax (but we went an hour before close,so no wonder) Will definitely be back!
Lunch time was super busy today every table was filled. Within 5 minutes we were seated waitress came immediately. Our food came quickly and was amazing! Would definitely recommend service was outstanding!
Tonight, I have to say I was very disappointed in Xcaret. I’ve eaten here on several occasions and always recommend this place to family, friends, and colleagues when visiting the city. The manager Fernando pictured on the right is the manager of the established or that is what he told us, and he was also our server. I don’t know where to begin with this. First, we waited over 15 minutes for Fernando to even acknowledge us. I visited the restroom and observed him texting. I had no idea he would be our server. We started off with Margaritas and I asked for a glass of water. My aunt and I mango margarita was basically crushed ice with a little color. I then ordered chicken fajitas and flour tortillas. The chicken and peppers came out first but no tortillas. No big deal, however, after another 15 minutes, I observed our manager/waiter walking from outside on his cell phone. I politely informed him I no longer wanted the food because it was cold. He offered to remake but I declined because we had already waited a good amount of time. After observing our manager/waiter visit a table next to ours 3 times it was very disappointing to say. In the interim, the others in my party did not have silverware. After about another 15 minutes, Fernando arrives at the table to ask if I need a box. I again informed him, I had not touched the food. He agreed to take the food off, but he said he could not remove the margarita because “nothing was wrong with it”. I asked, how did he know, he never once checked to see how everything was. I think the most disappointing part of my visit was how rude and dismissive he was. When we complained, he said he “would try to do better in the future”. Sad to say if he is in fact a manager and this is how other managers are at Xcaret, it will soon go down as another failed restaurant in downtown Winston-Salem.
The grilled chicken bowl was awesome, fresh ingredients and super friendly service. Atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed.
I had the California Burrito. It was super yummy. I sat at the bar. Service was great and fast. I would recommend if you are looking for your typical Mexican experience. I'll be back!
I had the camarones ? a la diabla and a cucumber ? margarita! This dish is spicy ? I finished half and took the rest home because of the heat! Very delicious with the salad and the rice was perfect! So much yummy flavor. Great amount of shrimp! The margarita was good I had the house tequila but I wanted 1800 . Great atmosphere and enjoyed the music for a Saturday night. Can’t wait to go back to try their Chile relleno!! Authentic, clean, great service and delicious food!
Excellent service! All of the sauces we had were very good, especially the salsa because I love cilantro. The food is quite good. 4 stars because no pineapple on the Tacos Al Pastor.
We had a great experience here at lunch. This place was in walking distance from our training we were having downtown Winston-Salem. We were able to get in and out in under an hour. I had the lunch chicken fajitas and it was fantastic. I would definitely go back. The waitress was on top of things. One thing I liked that I don't see very often was the waitress was able to process card payments from her hand held device - so no waiting for the checks, then waiting to take them to a register, then having to find a pen.... nope none of that. Signed and added a tip from her touchscreen.
Great service! It was very busy, but everyone who served on us was fantastic and friendly. The food was great too! If we're back in town, we'll definitely stop in here again.
I come here at least once a week and I am never disappointed!! The service is quick and everyone is so nice. The food always tastes amazing, and so do the drinks. And I definitely can’t forget to mention the vibrant colors and atmosphere! 10/10!! Hands down my favorite restaurant in Winston!
