Food was excellent we had ribs with a wonderful parmesan pasta, scallops with cous cous, and a pork chop with polenta. For our appetizer we had fried calamari. Everything was delicious. BITCHIN1 hour later we had really bad food poisoning sad.... will not return.

Bistro vibe. Good food. Quaint location. Kinda pricey (we were there at dinner) but not outrageous. Decent wine and beer list. Understaffed in the Tuesday evening, yet courteous and prompt w the food when the order came up. Not an issue to us as we had the time and it was nice to have a leisurely paced dinner and not be pushed by the server. Server overheard that it was my daughter’s birthday and as a surprise, brought her a yummy peanut butter chocolate cake with a candle. Shall try for lunch sometime. It’s right off the highway in Old Salem so it’s a good halfway point to meet when between Lake Norman and Durham.

Took my wife to the restaurant for her birthday with my mom. Had been there 3 years ago and it was great than. Tonight went hill quick. My wife ordered a bottle of wine and I had already two beers by the time her wine came. The appetizer was great and our waitress was inexperienced, scallops were over priced when for $38 you get three scallops. Our waitress didn’t know to remove the empty dishes before bringing our dessert. My dessert still had the wrapping around it. I will not return.

Traveling and arrived an hour early for reservation but was seated immediately. Staff friendly and apologetic if they were slow due to staffing ( 2 wait staff). Menu was smaller than posted on Web for brunch Hubby ordered the Sandwich. Open face bacon, avocado, egg with greens. Came with home fries. He liked it very much. I ordered chicken and waffle. I received 3 pieces of crispy, tender fried chicken on a waffle with pecans and syrup. It also came with fries. This definitely is a shareable dish. I asked for a take home container.

Willow’s has been recommended to us several times, and for good reason! The atmosphere is very eclectic, warm and inviting. It felt comfortable right from the beginning and the food was fantastic. We had the fried green tomato tower and the baked Brie. Both were delicious, and I’m typically not one for fried green tomatoes. The presentation was well executed and the flavors were expressive. All in all this place can stand toe to toe with the “nice” restaurants in town, and do so while being completely unpretentious and relaxed. I highly recommend Willow’s Bistro if you haven’t had a chance to try it.P.S. The fried green tomato tower was much bigger, 8 or so slices. It smelled so good we forgot to snap a picture before we dug in.

I've been to upscale restaurants that disappointed just as often as medium priced ones. Willow's is one place that just never disappoints. It is our special occasion destination. We used to live in Winston-Salem but retired and now live an hour away. We drove back just for my wife's birthday and loved every minute. We have been to Willow's now probably six-eight times over the years, and wish I understood why the food is so good here. Everything. My grilled salmon was perfect, taste over the moon. Wife loved her steak. Service was attentive. I never give five stars just on principle, but in this case they deserve it.

My wife and I visited for brunch in March of ‘22. Decor was a bit dated and worn. Our server was prompt and cordial. I ordered the chicken and waffles. It came with sides of fruit and potatoes. The breading on the chicken looked a bit overcooked on the outside but was juicy and tender on the inside. The waffle was ok. My wife had the cheeseburger topped with a poached egg on a cornmeal bun. She enjoyed it. Overall our meal was a bit disappointing, especially for the price. With a little more attention, Willow’s could take it to the next level. If they do, I might return, but not planning to at this point.

The food and atmosphere were wonderful I particularly like the chef's touches of pickled onions. It was so unusual and tasty.

A great assortment of dishes, cocktails and choices and really good service. The place has a nice vibe and plenty of parking.

Fabulous bistro food with a French twist? Add the muscles and fries with truffles oh my gosh what a treat!! Also hagwhite sangria and could have kept coming back for more if I wasn't driving, a lol! This is a small intimate restaurant with lots of outdoor seating when it's nice. There is definitely a chef in the back who knows what he is Portuguese doing!!
