We walked into Tropical Smoothie Cafe at 2:21 pm on Father’s Day to treat our dad to a smoothie and there was a handwritten sign saying they closed at 2:30 pm due to being short staffed, which I completely understand. There were a few other customers in the restaurant that had been served and the girl at the cash register told us that they were closing at 2:30. I said okay no problem, that we wouldn’t be hanging around and weren’t getting food and asked if they were able to make smoothies or not. She replied “I mean…”. My husband then said “do you want to make smoothies or not?” to which she responded “okay, no” and laughed. The other employees also laughed. We walked out of the door. Horrible customer service and won’t be back to a Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I completely understand being short-staffed, however there is no excuse for rudeness and laughing at your customers.
I love this place! Its just every time I come here I have a allergic reaction, I've mentioned it in the past on their Instagram and they were so sweet to me and gave me a free smoothie. ( I got a mocha madness on that time and thankfully I didn't get sick! ) the 3rd time ( the last time I went so Jun 15 2022 ) I got the island green smoothie and I asked the man who was making the smoothie if he wouldn't mind cleaning the blender before he makes my smoothie because I have a lot of food allergies and he was so kind and agreed. Like I said this place is really great and I love it I will totally recommend it to people I just don't think we're a good fit. :)
My 1st visit to this establishment worst customer service ever, tables was absolutely filthy. Ask the young lady if she could give me something to clean the tables off with, she gave me a dry piece of paper towel. I then asked her some more and can she wet them this time. I got ignored at first the a look like I was bothering her. While I was standing there waiting another young lady came from the kitchen, I then asked her can I have some things to clean the table, again ignored this one went back in the kitchen and never came back out. Horrible I am willing to clean the table what was the problem, never to return.
Worst smoothies you could possibly get. My smoothie was very watered down and it gave me horrible stomach pains after drinking. Never will come again or buy!!!
Went to this cafe looking for the shrimp wrap and a smoothie. When I went in there was 4 people waiting to get smoothies which is fine because it took the girl no time to make them, but as she was making them she was throwing the blenders into the sinks, the tops of them too, and smoothie was flying everywhere.I finally ordered and I was told they couldn’t do the shrimp because they were out for that evening, which is fine, but then was told it would be a minute on the food since there was only her and another girl because they were short staffed and the other girl was outside taking her break.So I only got a smoothie, which was a good smoothie, but other than that I wasn’t impressed.
I love this specific tropical smoothie cafe! I have been to others but for some reason their smoothies do not taste no where near as good and they are pretty fast. I have no complaints so far I drive 5 extra miles just to go to this location it is worth it! I wish they had a tropical smoothie in Kernersville but I’ll drive 25 mins until then!
I've been here a few times and normally service is ok. This evening I never received my smoothie b/c the female makin them was so occupied and engrossed w/ her company of family/friends (idk) that she didn't realize she bumped mine out the que. After waiting 18 minutes while others who came in after me received smoothies, I requested a refund. She appeared bothered when I explained to her why, like I had done something wrong. Apart of customer service is learning present time consciousness, which she lacked.
Great customer service. Good flatbreads & smoothies. The smoothies are a nice size also! Try an edible straw ?
Leaving a review to let others know. This food branch has horrible problems with communication with its consumers. No one picks up the phone at the place and when trying to get in contact with the corporation that runs tropical smoothie they cant even get your act together. Its not worth going back. You guys need to learn how to address problems correctly. Its ridiculous, I even had to get in contact with them 4 ways, Calling the store 5 times and my problem still isn't fixed.????????
I was the only customer and they totally ignored me didn't say hello or anything so I just turned around and left it wasn't worth the wait North Point seems to be a lot friendlier and more attentive that's the last time I'll go there to the Hanes Mall boulevard location.
