I had such a build up for this great deli that is was probably inevitable that I was let down somewhat. Food was very good but not that super duper special. The salads are the best thing in my opinion. Very fresh & tasty. Restaurant was very clean. This is not a cheap lunch place even though you seat yourself after you order at counter & carry food over. Lunch for 3 with 2 sandwiches & a salad plate & 3 teas was $49.22 before tip. I would certainly return if a friend wanted to go there but I wouldn’t search it out.
Such a treat every time I am able to visit. Wide variety of options and great quality. My favorites are caprese salad, tuna salad and bow tie pasta.

What a great place to grab some delicious, casual deli-style food! Everything was good! Their wraps and salads cannot be beat, and there is something there for every pallette. Fast, friendly service as well.
Food is just as delicious as I remember. I haven't eaten here in about 15 years since my move to NYC. I was here in NC visiting and this place was one of my main stops. Glad I came. I enjoyed more than I can remember. Great job and nice staff ?
Haven’t dined here in months so decided this past Thursday to give it a run. It took me 30-40 mins to get a roast beef sandwich after ordered- 1.25 hour experience for lunch- in a deli. Was not busy at 1:30pm. Usually well timed in ordering and food delivery- but this day, horrible.
The Carving Board Experience (Pick-Up Edition). It is hard for me to summarize this place because there are so many things you can select to eat. However, if pasta salads are your thing, this is your place. They have tuna salad, chicken salad, pasta salad, and Caprese salad, to name a few. In addition, you can get sandwiches, soups, or a slice of quiche if you like.So on this day, I placed my order for their three salad plate. I selected fruit salad, chicken salad, and bowtie pasta salad. I like this place because if you choose a salad of sorts, you can put your food in the fridge until you are ready to eat. So you don't have to worry about warming anything up in the microwave or oven.The service is pretty decent; when inside. Some staff are more talkative than others but ultimately get the job done by making your order. I would go back to The Carving Board again.
This is FRESH homemade goodness all in one place! When you are talking about old school homecoming by grandma or mom, this is it! We absolutely loved it and a dear friend of my husband's said she knows many people who eat here for every meal. They also sell out of all their salads every day. I believe the lady said they sell 130-140 pounds of each a day!!! That speaks volumes. Plus they are friendly, accommodating and happy to serve you!
I think this place is staffed entirely by highschool age kids, and all food is served out of big premade portions. This is just fine except I found I was paying around $40 for one and a half sandwiches, two sides, and two beers. The bread was stale and the potato salad had no discernable flavor. Kind of mediocre Safeway sandwich but 3x the price
Food is bland as hell at best. Bread seemed stale. The total for 1.5 sandwiches, two sides, some chips, and two drinks was $40. Only one girl was wearing a mask.
