Love this place. Great for that lat 80's early 90's nostalgic feel. Only complaint was machines not maintained, working or quarters stuck in the slots.
Fun place to go when you are downtown Winston-Salem with friends. From old school arcade games to skee ball, in a retro black light environment with a bar you'll feel like you stepped back into the 80s for a bit! Lots of great pinball machines too!
Bartender was amazing I think her name was Pammy. We came kinda late when they were about to close in 30 minutes but she still greeted us and was super nice. The only complaint I have is I feel like we wasted coins cause half the machines were not working or were only 1 player other than that I enjoyed it:)
The vibe in here is AWESOME, friendly bartenders, and great drinks! The only problem we ran into was many of the games didn’t work and just swallowed our quarters. We lost a few bucks just trying to get some of the games to work. I think it was just a rough maintenance night. Otherwise, it’s a fun place!
Fun and cheap date night. However, a good bit of games were out of order or had blue tape. A few games that were in working order didn't actually work. We informed the bartender and she explained said games were just serviced. I know these games to through some rough stuff but it was a bit annoying to have to alert the bartender every few minutes of something being broke. Also there was a group on there who were being rough with the games and kept asking people for money. Made the experience a little annoying and less fun.
I used to come here almost every weekend, have Moscow mules, pull a stool up to Super Mario waste the night away. It has a retro cozy feeling and the bartenders were always super kind. ?
The bartenders were great, and my drink was, too. However over half the games weren’t working - blue tape over the quarter slots. The other games were either taken or only half working. My pinball game only let one side work. Disappointing and I lost many quarters trying to find something fun.
Awesome place. If you’ve never payed the boom-a-rang you’ve never played air hockey!!
Games and drinks were alright. It's a smallish place so not a ton in here but it was fun.Though, after leaving I realized I needed to use the bathroom so I put a mask on and headed back in. I noticed a guy wearing mostly denim standing right inside the door looking at me weird so I thought, bouncer maybe? Nope he was just excited to let me know that my mask was actually "just a petri dish" on my way to the toilet. I assumed he went to medical school somewhere weird so I let him know that it would only be a petri dish if he didn't know how to do laundry. Several of his friends responded by trying to start a fight I think, which is totally a reasonable way to back your friends argument. A+, 9/10 caveman moment. Way to go boys, you sure showed me the error of my ways.
It's a fun place to go have drinks with friends and play some old school video and pinball games. They're also very supportive of the local art community in Winston-Salem. A friend and I have art up there and they've always been so nice to us.
