My husband and I love coming here for ribs, BBQ, and hush puppies. The wait staff is friendly and caring. We feel like family here! My husband also loves the pellet ice and the sweet tea. B &G fried pies are sold here, but the real star of the dessert show is their banana pudding. Try their Brunswick Stew when available in the cooler months. Another favorite is Real Q's BBQ Chicken, available only on weekends.
Very good food, great service, everyone very friendly and helpful. BBQ is great, hush puppies were great and slaw is nice and cold.
It felt very comfortable & the food was great! We got the Cole slaw, hot dog with chili, cheeseburger, bbq sandwich, fries, & onion rings. My favorites were the onion rings & slaw. The onion rings were crispy & not too oily; the slaw was sweet just the way I like it. Will come back soon!
I was told this was a great place to eat with a family feel, my experience was anything but. I was made to feel microaggression. I will never eat there again and will not recommend any of my friends or family. I felt that if you were not white your experience will be very different.
The servers there were so unbelievably sweet to my autistic son. The food is always delicious as well. Thank you for being so kind.
We wanted to get something to eat nearby and my wife had this place bookmarked on Yelp. It is tucked in on Country Club Road and you would miss it if you weren't paying close attention. We stepped inside and were immediately greeted by the staff and welcomed in. We could also smell the smoked meat....YUM! They have menus printed on the counter along with menu boards. When they say BBQ in North Carolina it means pork. Beef brisket is not BBQ in North Carolina. My wife and I both decided to order the BBQ sandwiches, mine chopped and she ordered coarse with the slaws on the side. My wife ordered her first order of corn fritters and I chose tater tots. We took a seat and our orders were brought out to us. Everything looked great and we both enjoyed our sandwiches. The sauce was much thinner than we are used to but it was good, a little sweeter with more vinegar than I am used to as well. My wife also liked the slaw added to her sandwich, she also enjoyed the corn fritters but admitted she likes hush puppies better. The tater tots were nice and crunchy too. Overall, it was a good experience. This was our first "Lexington" barbecue and while it was different in some ways it was satisfying and we would recommend to others.
Excellent Chopped pork plate and the sides are so tasty. Hush puppies are some of the best I've ever had. Burgers are awesome as well
These guys know BBQ so I can agree why the name fits! Every time I have been here the staff were so kind and helpful and the food was fresh and tasted so good!A tip is to try the pig skins with the dip. Just get a bag of pig skins and bottle of dip by the register.
Great Q and friendly people make Real Q special!
For those that are used to sweet BBQ, this ain't it. The style here is more of a dry rub and the sauce is vinegar- based and the combination is very tasty. So are the beans and the other side dishes. Not a fan of the hush puppies, but everything else was very good.
