Update: June 2022- Located n the parking lot across from Food Lion on Hawthorne Rd. Eating inside is allowed now & they have a few tables outside as well. They r closed on Sundays & Mondays now. Still cash only. No desserts but delicious hot dogs, burgers, fries, corn dogs & BBQ sandwiches r served (my favorite) up n mins along with a few drink options! Check them out if you've never been...Eating inside isn't allowed @ the moment but they have take out available as well as a few picnic tables set up outside 2 sit down & get ur grub on. Due 2 COVID only 3 customers r allowed inside the [email protected] any time. U must Kno if u r going 2 eat here that they ONLY accept cash! No checks! No cards! It is the only place I have ever heard of that is like this but it's been this way as long as I can remember! They have simple delicious food that they r able 2 prepare & get out 2 u quickly + everything is a fair & reasonable price as well. Today I got 3 dogs, 4 burgers, & 3 fries 4 my family's lunch & paid approx $30. I have never gotten over or undercooked food, my order has always been steaming hot when handed over 2 me + I have never experienced an issue w/ them getting my order wrong. So, if u r n the mood 4 a yummy hot dog, cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, fry, tater tot, etc & u happen 2 b near the Food Lion situated on the street that runs directly between both hospitals n Winston-Salem then go ahead & check out this little place!
Just left...what a ripoff...added up the amount of order before I picked it up because I knew they only take cash , only for it to be $25 MORE than anticipated. $75.00 for some pb's. The prices on their Facebook page and even on their own board inside the restaurant are not even close to what they are charging. If it had been a chain I would have left but I like to support small businesses( and would have been stuck with the " whats for dinner " dilemma ). Sad to say that will be my last order from there. Dairio is better AND cheaper . **** .The food is nowhere near as good as it used to be either. As long as they have been a staple in Ardmore they will not last if they keep up this level of service and quality.
Small little grill located on the side of Hawthorne Road that has been there a long time. Hard to find unless you know where it is or some one takes you there to eat one or more of their famous hotdogs that were named Winston-Salem's Best a few years ago. While there also try the hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fries and chicken wings. You can eat inside sitting on one of the barstools around the wall, at one of the picnic tables outside or just get your food to go. Just be forewarned no credit or debit cards Cash Only
Two hot dog tray with fries and a tea...almost $10.00 ? Really?! VERY overpriced and this is NOT reflected on the menu board.I won't be going back...and we've been going there for years but I'm not paying that price again.
I came here about a year ago and now I’m back!!! I have to stop by for a hot dog whenever I’m in town. I can’t get these hot dogs in Charlotte. Not even close!!!
Guess I went there on an off day (01/15/22) in fairness it was near closing. I purchased a hot dog and fries. Went out to my car to eat. Hot dog bun was burned on grill. The hotdog fell apart as I tried to eat it. Between the burnt taste and trying to slurp up the hotdog from the wrapper, my experience was not good. Just ordinary fries.
Hotdog was pretty good, cashier was extremely nice and made the experience all that much better. She deserves a raise.
Building doesn't look like much but aren't those usually the best places to grab a bite? Yummy hotdogs, pretty good French fries and the fountain drinks are really good and fresh tasting. I do recommend!

I love this little place nothing crazy about it just a great hotdog you have to get it all the way and they make this grilled PB&J +++++
