It had been a little while since last I ate at Nawab, but they are still as excellent as ever. From the first moment, the staff was kind, polite, helpful, and present. My wife and I never had a water glass more than half full. They checked on the food 3 times mid meal. It is the kind of service you dream about. The food ... Oh man. It's even better. We started with a very nice Samosa, which proved to take the perfect amount of time before our entrees arrived. We shared Chicken Tikka Masala and a Vegetable Korma. For the two of us, the lunch portions were the perfect size. The naan was tasty and fluffy. The rice had a beautiful flavor too. And the option for spice level is appreciated. Their medium was exactly what we wanted to have a little kick but not feel it burning our mouths after the meal.We will definitely be going back soon!
This was my first time Eating Indian food. I had the shrimp Marsala it was really good. Nice staff and good service.
Amazing food. The portion of food is fair for the price. The interiors are nicely done. The owner/ manager and staff are very friendly and make sure we enjoy the food experience there. Definitely will go back. Highly recommend.
The food is delicious—most importantly. However, the amount of food in the takeout order is noticeably smaller. Especially now we’ve all gone through the time of Covid, takeout is essential. In the past, overhead costs for takeout might have been considerably less, but realize with all other costs associated with materials/credit card fees, etc. probably almost equals dine-in cost now. When the customer becomes aware of minimal amounts in the containers…maybe smaller containers? Or just give it one more scoop.
They don't have a lunch buffet but do have a lunch menu. The food was amazing. Very authentic Indian food. I had Korma with Paneer and it was so good and warm and comforting.
Nawab is the best Indian restaurant in North Carolina. We drive from Raleigh when we’re craving it, and it’s our go-to restaurant before we run endurance races. The ambiance is warm, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is PHENOMENAL. Rajesh is often our waiter and knows our order by heart. Everyone who works here is very kind and personable. Would highly recommend!
Amazing and authentic Indian food. The flavors where spot on and thr Naan was great. I will be back for more.Went back and yup, it's still amazing
I came in for lunch by myself and I had a really uncomfortable experience with the man who said he was the manager. He repeated my name and commented on it when I gave him my ID. He sat down at my table and called me beautiful many times and tried to ask me out. I told him I had a girlfriend which made him uncomfortable. I tried to redirect the conversation to something else but he just kept coming back to talking about how I looked. I put down cash to leave and he kept trying to get me to stay, he asked me for a hug as I left and followed me out the door. I declined, and he tried again to get me to stay. I was incredibly uncomfortable, I only wanted to eat my food in peace. The food was good, though.
Absolutely the most delicious and authentic food, even better since they can adjust spice levels to your liking. My daughter attends college and Winston Salem and she and her friends go down every week, the owners/staff treat her so well, if you were in North Carolina visiting surrounding cities Greensboro or Raleigh area you must check out this amazing restaurant it’s a gem. Thank you to Rajesh & the staff at Nawaab ?????
If you’re looking for quality, comfort food & a spicy cuisine, this place is perfect! They even have vegetarian & vegan options. Loved the atmosphere & the service. Had a wonderful dining experience with family & I’m so glad we gave this place a try.
