No indication that they were carryout only. Drive clear across town 9nlybto find we couldn't dine-in. Instead, we went across the street to The Sherwood, had fantastic service, and wonderful meals at a reasonable price.Incidentally, their address sends you to the back door, service entrance. Just another annoyance.
there's a Chinese restaurant closer to me but this Mr. Lu's food and service is much better !
I'm my opinion this is the best Chinese takeout in Winston Salem. They have always been consistent with their quality and the staff is super nice. I would recommend to anyone.
The service was good - friendly and fast despite the long line, but the food was less than impressive. I ordered basic Sweet and Sour Chicken, and got what amounted to chicken nuggets with white rice and a small container of the sweet and sour sauce - no peppers, pineapple or any other vegetable. Not worth the $9 price. Won't be back.
Best Chinese food in Forsyth County for as long as I have lived here (2003). I have found others that are ok but I can eat Mr Lu's until I feel like I am literally going to explode. When I moved away for a few years to Virginia, there was no Chinese that came close to Mr. Lu's. Sometimes I wonder what exactly it is that makes his so wonderful but it is so far ahead of the others it's not even a race.
Average food. Not bad but average. Disappointing that the fried rice was bare. No green onions, egg bits and or bean sprouts. The Mongolian beef was more like onion casserole with meat versus meat, green onions and rice noodles. I did not taste any hoison sauce. Price was fair. But I won't order again unless I want the Plainest Chinese version as here.
I have ordered from here before. But today's order was sub par. Spring roll was burnt and greasy the shrimp fried rice was basically just RICE.
My Sis is from TN and she said her meal Moo Goo Gai Pan was the beat she had ever eaten! I love their Hunan Chicken. Best Chinese food ever!!
First time ordering here tonight and it won’t be our last! YUM! All of our food stayed hot and everything in our order was correct. Really like this place!
