BBQ was amazingSweet and TangyNot 100% Eastern NC style ( vinegar based) but do not sleep on this place!!So goodANDThey have the crushed ice!
Went to this place today during lunch staff was friendly establishment was clean, However I ordered and paid for white meat and was given dark meat. I called back and spoke with Claudia who told me to come back whenever I get a chance and she will replace my meal and she apologized. I called back after work and explained to the manger that I was coming and I wanted fresh chicken( what the manger advised me to do in the past) he told me that if I didn’t have the food that he wouldn’t replace the meal, I explained to him that was not conveyed to me earlier when I spoke with Claudia . He begin to yell and was extremely rude! This place will never get my service again. I think the manger is RACIST
I had them cater my husbands surprise birthday party and they were right on time and the food was a huge hit. I would highly recommend them for your catering needs!! They were very easy to work with and their prices were reasonable! Will be using them again in the future!
This restaurant has been a go-to for our family for over 30 years. The best barbecue, barbecued chicken, and fried chicken keep us coming back at least one or two Fridays during every month of the year. Great food, great service, easy well lit parking, and a smile from workers that last until you come back. Lexington is famous for its barbecue, but I would drive from Lexington to Winston-Salem to eat at Mr. BARBECUE ! I could not get a cup of ice! I had my own drink & I was at the drive - thru. I don't like their tea, so I had my own. I purchased food & ice would have been nice to cool MY TEA! JEEZ!
My family and I were picking up an order. They gave us a box with a flimsy foil top. Immediately as a family member picked up the box it began to leak and it burned my family members wrist and unfortunately the liquid began to run down their clothing. We asked if they had anything larger to place the food in due to the fact it was full to the brim. Our question was ignored and the worker picked up our order and proceeded to our car. It was of course still leaking and as we are deciding how to deal with such a poor "container" for the food the worker just walks away ignoring our concers. Another member of the family tried to put it into a plastic bag and they too were burned as a result of the awful "container " that. What a poor FIRST experience and most certainly the LAST if this how they treat paying customers.
Horrible customer service. Will never return, gave me scorching hot food without any container. When I asked about proper storage they got annoyed and just grabbed it and threw it in my car saying that it's hot. ( I know it's hot that's what I said before you tried to look cool). I've been cleaning my car for the past 2 days. I will never go back there in my life.
The food was hot and delicious. Service was excellent. The restaurant was very clean. We will absolutely go back there often. Give them a try you won't be disapointed.
Always fantastic BBQ and sides every time I come to Winston Salem. I tend to prefer the tomato based BBQ sauce of my side of NC, but they have the best vinegar based BBQ sauce I've ever had. Drinks are always properly carbonated, and their pies are the perfect dessert. Love this place!
