This is our favorite restaurant. The food is amazing! I’m a vegetarian which makes it hard to find tasty food at restaurants. The flavor of the street tacos with impossible meat are unmatched. They do charge quite a bit for the substitution ($3.00) but I’m addicted so I’ll pay it. We love that they offer yucca fries and plantains. The environment and music transport us into a mini vacation. The service has been slow in the past but it’s worth the wait and it seems that they were able to increase their staff recently, and the service was on point the last time we were there. This is by far one of the best food destinations in Winston Salem!

Laid back comfortable eatery. The host was wonderful he kept a smile on our faces. The waitress was very informative very knowledgeable of the menu. And the food was outstanding. We will be recommending this place to our friends and family!
Fantastic. We split the crispy beef bowl and the Cuban sandwich with sweet plantains. It was delicious. The music was great, the patio was a great place to sit.
Ambiance was very chill with great customer service! Food was better than expected and had to try everything; fried fish taco was delish (crispy soft with just enough toppings), fried yucca with cheese and toppings was addicting (had replacement for the popular stuffed yucca), plantains were a bit of anything life can offer! Sweet, salty mini yum burnt (that burnt touch to make it authentic), street corn was my most favorite because I came back the next day! Then of course the SLIDDERS (order it and promise you, made the two sliders with pulled pork into four pieces of wannabe sopas lol) Can write forever, but I touched base on my top 5! High 5 to everything great!
Food was horrible i Oder congri with ropa vieja and the rice look like rice pudding with black beans. Then my food was serve in a aluminum container. No napkins just one with the fork and knife. Then my husband Oder a steak sandwich it was wet. For been a Spanish restaurant I don’t think it’s gonna last long. The services it’s horrible. First and last time there waisted my money for real

Wow. What a disappointment. 12:30 PM 12/31/22: Cafe con Leche tasted like lukewarm coffee flavored water (w. milk and sugar added). When waiter asked if CCL was OK, I was kind and said "not so good". (but no offer to make it again or take it off of the bill).Grilled cheese arepa with pork served on a tiny paper plate - was cold and greasy. I was hungry but still couldn't finish it - paid cash, leaving an undeserved tip to the server. I do understand Covid challenges - but service was glacially slow with a "who gives a ... type of attitude".Restaurant had only three tables filled! Qualifier - comments from someone who knows Cuban food (time in Miami, Havana etc.) and has enjoyed it cooked at home. W-S should/can do better!BTW called in to share constructive criticism w. owner...but he "was too busy" - "leave a message"...which I did. Owner thoughts/comments?P.S. - really 1.5 stars.
