The pizza my husband and I shared was good. Their pizza is one size, small. We got one pizza, added garlic, and two glasses of water for $28 including the tip which was added to the bill. The restaurant is very small and the tables are lined up against the wall with just enough distance between them to walk through. It was dark inside and definitely not a place for private conversation. The staff was friendly enough.
Don't let the unassuming name fool you. This place is a sleeper hit. Ordering the pre fixe as for our first time in, I can only say, amazing. Best pie I've had in a long while, perhaps even better than Cucino Forno, with a unique wine list that's already expanded my palate.Unique vibe and a great local spot, will absolutely be back in short order.
We did the pizzakase and loved every dish. The pizza was so delicious. It was two of us and we managed the 3 pizzas without taking too much home. The flavors was amazing. We had one that was a dough they fried then topped and baked. The crust was amazing. I so wish it was closer to my home!!
My wife and I have enjoyed the Pizzakase experience several (5+) times, and it has never failed to impress. We have not been served the same pizza twice, and many of the preparations are beyond anything we’ve ever seen - MPN truly takes pizza and its possibilities to a different level. Peyton is extremely knowledgeable about pizza styles and Italian cuisine generally. There is also a thoughtfulness and quality behind all of the ingredients, appetizers, pastas, desserts and other dishes they serve. They might have the best simple green salad that I’ve ever had, which I think speaks volumes. It’s a great restaurant that would be exceptional anywhere else in the country, and we’re lucky to have it in Winston-Salem.
Simple, fresh ingredients. Always a treat here. Yummy. Nice to have really tasty food in Winston-Salem.
Oh my god! Let me tell you… we got prix fixed menu tonight. This place is everything it is hyped up to be. We love it it’s our second time coming and it won’t be our last. I’m totally behind the chef’s methods and can’t wait to see how far they go! Mission pizza best of luck we love you.
Meh. Waited a long time to go here. Food was mediocre and some of it just bad. Waste of quite a bit of money.
Amazing food! Worth the trip!
I have to say this is by far the best meal we have had since moving to the area. We did the Pizzakase experience, and it did not disappoint. We moved to the area from a large city with lots of great food and it has been hard to find a GREAT meal here. Right away, the first thing we ate was WOW; the next items all deserved the same response. Our seats at the pizza bar made it great to just enjoy our food and be able to watch the process. The chef explained what he made, what was in it, and where it came from. That made it even more enjoyable. Do yourself a favor. If you question spending the money on the experience just for "pizza," don't question it... just do it. You won't regret it. We look forward to this being a regular place to visit for special nights out. Thank you, Mission Pizza Napoletana.
Mission = my absolute favorite. Peyton’s pizza is incredible every single time… full of flavor and crisp. It was a hard decision to venture away from his main menu, but we tried the Prix Fixe experience this time out. And wow. Every single course was the best surprise. Fresh salad, creamy polenta, perfectly firm pasta.. then this deep fried pizza comes to the table. The dough almost tasted like eating a fresh doughnut with the perfect balance of a butternut squash topping. We couldn’t take bites quickly enough. Finished dinner with the perfect ending = deconstructed tiramisu. We loved the family-style dining, and the wine pairings just completed the meal. The whole MPN crew is top notch; the service always exceeds expectations. The staff was so attentive, and we felt so taken care of the whole night. I love Mission not only because the food is phenomenal but also because you just feel like part of the family when you’re inside those walls. Peyton and his team have certainly created something special, on and off the menu. If you live in Winston-Salem, do yourself a favor and become a regular. If you’re only in town for the weekend, make sure MPN is at the top of your list.
