Had a door dash order and ordered the chicken and rice soup they sent me a random soup I called to tell them the person that answered the phone basically said they were out of soup and had a nasty attitude manager was rude too! They had nasty attitudes and a smart mouth, don’t recommend.

Love the chicken & ham sandwich (formerly a Cham).

We walked in to order with one person in front of us. I placed my order at 1:08, and was called to pick it up at 1:38...not a lot of time to eat when you have one hour for lunch. Food was fine, but I don't have the time to go back, and probably won't.

It has been YEARS since I’ve been here, but it’s a good halfway point for me to meet my sister for lunch and have a gabfest. The menu is still extensive but we remembered the Steak and Cheese as being fantastic. My sister got the #64 Basic Steak which is steak, mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. I got the #61 Deluxe Steak which is the Basic with added grilled onions, peppers and mushrooms. I chose the hot chips and ranch. Sister chose the pasta salad and somehow he also rang up a cup of veggie soup. The sandwiches were good but not fantastic. The bread was warm but not toasted, the meat was not seasoned and I had to add a pack of salt to each half. The quantity of meat was below average and there was very little cheese. The hot chips were a huge disappointment. The entire basket was very oily and very limp, which is a crying shame because the ranch was very good and they give two cups. I ate 3 limp chips just to eat the ranch but then decided it wasn’t worth it. Please note: I’m one of those people that don’t send food back. This is unreasonable on my part but I’d rather adjust my future orders. ie: the next time I order hot chips, I’ll ask for “extra crisp”.At this point you may be questioning my 5 star rating, so here’s my breakdown:3 stars for the food1 star because this is counter service only and they don’t ask for a tip. Some places still pressure you for a tip.1 star because we sat there chatting for FOUR hours (gabfest) and they were fine with it.

Called to see if they were open at 7:20 pm and phone just continuously rang. So I gave them a quick google to see what time they closed and it said 8:00 pm. So I went in at 7:25 pm and it was very evident they had an attitude. Phone was ringing nonstop and they were just letting it ring. Cooks were mumbling under their breath to each other and eyeing me down like I had done something wrong. Side note to the staff if y’all see this, if you close at 8:00 be prepared to take orders until 8:00 and stay after to shut down. That’s how the restaurant business is.

TJ's may have a name change. Still has the same GREAT cooks and for me the CHAM and Hot Subs are on the menu. Panic over!A few yrs back, the company I work for brought several engineers and technicians in to help install some equipment. They were here for 2 weeks and had plenty of nights out on company money to eat in the great restaurants around Winston. Whenever one of them come back into town. They all have a short list of resturants they want to go back to and everyone of them have Mike's (TJ's) on list.

Sandwich wasn't. RIGHT told not put cheese when ate it was provolone cheese on it cause me lose my appetite. Couldn't bring back later. The homemade fries was good chicken salad was ok . Just not eating there again pay for 8 bucks for a sandwich

Food is great as it's always been. If you order ahead for pickup, be sure to let them know when you get there, even if you're there before the time your food is supposed to be ready. They don't call out orders and you'll be standing there forever wondering if they even got the order...

Not a fan since new management. Honestly I’ve been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and the food is still and has always been very good. My issue is with customer service. I had an issue where I placed an order online and they were out of potato skins and I had ordered 8 along with paying EXTRA for ranch, which was fine. My order was delivered without the potato skins, instead of someone calling me to tell me they were out of them they delivered the rest of my items without them. I called the store and the gentleman said they were closing and to come by tomorrow to get a refund or my 8 skins, I agreed. I called the next day and briefed the manager on the situation, they found my receipt and told me it was ok to come get the food. Upon getting there I told him who I was and he grabbed my bag and gave it to me. I asked him (the manager) if the ranch was in the bag and he says they come with sour cream, I said I’m aware but I paid extra for ranch. He got aggravated and asked me to give him the sour cream out of my bag then. I said sir I dont to care about the sour cream but I paid for ranch, he sloppily and somewhat aggressively put the ranch in the bag and said thank you in a very dismissive tone. One thing is for certain I will never order from there again. I hate that bc I really enjoy their food but when I spend my hard earned money, I will never tolerate disrespect. Word of advice: be careful ordering online, they don’t communicate well.
