Food is pretty good but I gotta give only 2 stars because if you buy a kids meal to go for your little one at home, you’re not allowed to have the drink that comes with it. And they don’t discount the meal for not getting the drink. They have to see the child, even when you’re picking up food for the entirely family to take home, in order to give you the drink that comes with their meal. I thought they were joking, but they’re not.
Delicious NY style pizza by the slice if you desire or you can go for a whole pie. Also salads, garlic knots, subs you name it they got it.
I recently visited the Mario's on Hanes Mall Blvd with my family. We were out in that direction because of a doctor's appointment. However I live closer to Shattalon and University so the drive is not a ride we do often but when we do we make it appoint to eat at Mario's Pizza. I have NEVER GONE THERE and had any problems until TODAY, my family and I eat here at least once out of the month. In the past we have done huge family functions at this location. On my visit before today I spent $106.98 on the visit before that I spent $96.56. But on today 3/25/22 I spent $75.22 I paid $40.00 in cash and the remaining balance of $35.22 onto my credit card. We took our food Togo today because we had other errands to run. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed on the receipt I was charged for some Jalepeno popers $7.35 so naturally I called back to express my concern for the charge thinking it was gonna go one of three ways1 refund my card---no problem2 give some kind of credit for my next visit(that would have been nice)3HAVE A UNNECESSARY ISSUEAnd #3 was the pick. I was told that the manager was to busy and that I needed to return all the food in order to get a refund. I expressed that I didn't live close by and it would be a complete inconvenience to drive back with these popers and not to mention we had already eaten some of the pizza. I was told that it was nothing that could be done about this. TALK ABOUT UNPROFESSIONAL. And the gentleman who answered the phone was completely clueless on how to handle the matter but very sweet and extremely apologetic, he put me on hold and told his boss(Angel) to come to the phone and apparently Angel was to busy, could have said take her name and number but did not. I will be looking to speak to someone else
They got some great food especially pies, employees are all very friendly and helpful. I've never had a bad time at Mario's at any of their locations
Great first visit. Had the steak & cheese sub to go. Fantastic sub. Friendly staff. The place was clean and orderly.
Their pizza was delicious, my kind of pizza-flavorful, thin crust, and the crust has a slight crunch and has mild flavor..yummy, there are 2 other places i go which I think have great pizzas too but this one tops the other 2 within Winston-Salem.
Great Pizza. Not bad for NC. I'm from CT and I enjoy their Pizza. Usually get a slice with side salad& drink. Hits the spot
We ordered 2 steak and cheese subs with all the trimmings along with spaghetti and meatballs and garlic bread. When we got home the subs were as plain as Jane. No extras as requested only the meat!! The spaghetti was absolutely atrocious with no taste at all. Chef Boyardee would have tasted better. I have done a lot of Google Reviews and I am very fair in my opinions. I paid OVER $30.00 FOR MY PART OF THE ORDER AND I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS STORE AGAIN UNLESS THEY MAKE THIS RIGHT!! I have been to the other Mario's Pizza and had no problems whatsoever. I have never had an order so screwed up and tasting so egregious. If I could give less than 1 star it would certainly be warranted. This store did this franchise a grave injustice with this service. This particular store at Hanes Mall Blvd dropped the ball very badly!! Thank you for wasting my hard earned money.
Had a medium pie tonight pepperoni and cheeseburger with a side of sauce. Very New York styled pizza I must say! My boyfriend is from there and hes been begging for pizza and at damn near the whole pie to himself standing up wouldnt even sit down. We split the pizza and i must admit it was good compared to the nonsense I have eaten down here before. I am a Italian food lover and although these guys have nothing on my guys from CT in Fairfield I must say they were pretty good. My boyfriend fell asleep right after eating the last slice and gulping down a bottle of Sprite... now hes snoring away waking up saying I shouldve gotten a large lol. Thank You this was money well spent he barely eats or likes anything new! We will be back... I am new in town and next time I'm coming for the wings and if Blue Cheese
Got the greenhouse pizza I asked for light sauce! Great job & thank you!However the pizza had a little bit to much cheese.
