Absolutely delicious. Everyone there is nice. The food is fresh and love the handmade tortilla.
Got to have their best dish! Lengua tacos!!! So soft and flavor in every bite! Service is always amazing but of course every dish is worth trying. Sucks I only come here just for these cause I feel like it can never turn me down
The La Perlita Tacos Y Restaurante Experience (Walk-in Edition). So on this day, I wanted roasted chicken or fajitas for lunch. Once doing a google search La Perlita showed up. I have had some of the best-seasoned roasted chicken in Mexican cooking-style restaurants before, so I was excited to try them out. Although I thought about eating fajitas after seeing pictures of roasted chicken, I knew I was ordering that at La Perlita. So, once I arrived and entered the restaurant, I was spoken to in Spanish. Unfortunately, I have subpar Spanish skills, so I said hello in English. Then, someone who spoke English took my order, and I ordered their roasted chicken, served with bread, refried beans, sour cream, lettuce, and avocado. Instead of beans, I ordered rice. My order did not take long, and I walked out in no time.Once ready to eat, I could tell this food was the real deal. You get corn tortillas with your plate and lots of them. In addition, you receive a nice portion of food. However, I expected the chicken to have more flavor, be tender, and easily pull from the bone. Instead, I found the chicken hard to pull off the bone and did not taste as good as it looked. The rice had a good flavor, and the corn tortillas could have used more salt. The red and green sauce served with the plate added a nice touch of heat and flavor to the chicken. So would I revisit La Perlita? I would give them a try again. While waiting for my food, I saw an order of their fajitas coming out. They looked so good, but I know looks can be deceiving hence my plate. However, I believe in giving local restaurants a try. The customer service was good, and I honestly got an authentic vibe while there. Although my Spanish is shabby, I felt welcomed and not out of place.
If you want an AUTHENTIC Mexican meal, NOT fast food like taco bell, then THIS is the place to go. Delicious choices and huge portions!! I had a Hawaiian tortas and my husband had barbacoa stew (goat) with the best side dishes of rice, beans and salad. The meat was so tender it fell off the bone and if you want to, you can add their homemade sauces that are HIGHLY recommended!!
Awesome food and great service
Went here for lunch today!Tacos al Pastor were great. I also had a side of rice and beans. The staff was very nice and the food came quickly .Would definitely recommend dining here!
Best tacos I’ve had in Winston-Salem. The tortillas are fresh and warm and the meat is tender and the tacos are stuffed full. Friendly service and attached to a butcher shop. Give it a try.
Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been too! It’s a small and very authentic restaurant with amazing and delicious food. Ordered four tacos: shrimp, steak, carnitas and beef tongue— which were absolutely incredible. If you’re looking for a REAL Mexican restaurant in town, this place is it!
Portions were more than generous and reasonably priced but also be so delicious. It always feels good to support locally owned businesses and see a neighborhood thrive from them.
Went there to have breakfast the lunch was open and they was ending breakfastI left. I told them I'll come back the decor was neat the place was clean the people were friendly. I will go there again. It's by where I live.
