1st time trying Hops and it was pretty good. Lots of choices for burgers. There are some apps and other meal options but definitely a burger joint. We had the onuon rings which are light battered and the fries with poutine also pretty good. I had the bison burger build your own with parmesan truffle fries and my husband had the Hops traditional cheeseburger with slaw. Hubby slaw was lil dry but still good.

Absolutely great food and awesome service. We were in town early February to check out art museum and found this place. French onion burger is insanely delicious. Onions rings...omg good. Go here. Order burgers. Enjoy.

We went on a Friday night and sat at the bar. It got very, very busy by the time we left. We shared the house salad, which was good, and a regular burger, which was also delicious. The fries were a little cold when they came out and the server brought us another order, no questions asked. In fact, service was very friendly and good. Parking is a little tricky. The space in front is more for takeout. There is a very small lot located just above the restaurant, which is where we parked. There may be more parking above that, a short walk away. One thing I wasn't happy about: We sat at the bar because we didn't want to wait 30 minutes for a table. The bar seating was fine, but as the restaurant became more crowded, because there wasn't much of a waiting area, people waiting for tables pushed closer and closer to us, leaning in to shout their drink orders, and of course, there wasn't a mask in sight.

What amazing food. Would recommend the red onions to anyone and everyone. Such amazing staff all in all an amazing place to go eat.

I’m a very understanding person and I know what it’s like to work long hours during the pandemic in the food industry but tonight I left feeling bullied. I have celiac disease and a cinnamon allergy. Before you stop reading and assume I’m going to complain about cross contamination let me just say that I know the risks associated with going out to eat but I eat gluten free cross contaminated food on rare outings. With all that being said, there is a reputation and assumption when I ask if something is gluten free that I am going to be high maintenance and honestly I understand why because society paints people with celiac in this way. When waitresses and waiters are sassy towards me I just kind of expect it now sadly but the waitress here was next level. Every time I had a question this waitress would grit her teeth and essentially yell at me. At one point I asked about cross contamination and honestly she probably had a bad experience with another customer but she kept making snarky remarks about cross contamination afterwards. My mom and everyone at the table had to encourage me to ask for new fries because mine had cinnamon on them and she made me feel as if I had done something wrong. I wanted to cry. I kept saying I felt bad and I had people consoling me that I did nothing but ask about the food. I may have not have heard her ask me a few questions but it was so loud in there, I wasn’t outraged about cross contamination, I was understanding that I couldn’t have certain things, and I admit that I should’ve read what the sweet potato fries had on them. I got treated so poorly and I wanted to blame myself even though I did nothing wrong. I was very impressed by the kitchen staff, and the lady helping our waitress because they went above and beyond to make sure they worked with my needs, my burger was pretty good but I shouldn’t have to be comforted by my family because I went out to eat. (Especially honestly if I am used to people being rude about me asking about food.) I hope that this was just a one off day and that her day is better tomorrow but I won’t be going back ever.

You know, a few years ago when the $10 hamburger became commonplace, you really had to be selective because I found I could make most of these burgers BETTER at home. ENTER HOPS BURGER BAR. These guys know their stuff when if comes to burgers and fries. We have been there 4 times so I will just describe our general experiences. First off, the mask thing is silly. You wear your mask when you enter, walk 30 feet past many people who are UNMASKED, then sit down, TAKE YOUR MASK OFF, and remain that way until you leave. Like I said, silly and pointless. Enough of that. Their burgers are absolutely delicious. I have been there with different people each time and all of our meals were excellent. You have a choice of a wide variety of burgers and sides. You can’t go wrong with any of them. My last burger came with an onion gravy that was out of this world. Service has always been good. It does tend to get a little loud in there so be aware of that. Intimate conversations should probably be conducted elsewhere. Parking is plentiful just up the street which is a short walk to the restaurant. This place is worth the 25 minute drive for us from Mocksville. We will be going back again soon. Say hello if you see us there.

Food was pretty good. The burgers were spot on cook wise. The medium had a good sliver of pink. Our server was super friendly and check in a several times. They have sticky floors but we did go towards closing so they probably were busy cleaning up for the night anyway. They fries were nice and crunchy.Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

The lunch me & a friend had was filling and delicious. You cannot go wrong, with whatever you get. Relaxful place, casual and good food.

Absolutely delicious burgers.Randomly stopped in while passing through but would absolutely go out of my way to eat here again. And the onion ring! I'm in love. If you qre in the area make sure this is on list of places to eat.

Very nice selection of dishes - burgers, ramen, and very nice presentation. Service by our waitress - 5 stars. Tasty spicy ramen and the burgers were delicious!Beer selection great too.
