I’ve loved this place for year. Been here 50+ times I’d say and they’re great. This time was horrible. Stood and waited to be seated in an empty restaurant for 15 min with no service. When I finally got my bowl to the finish line I witnessed people who made bowls after me get theirs cooked before mine because they were buddies with the cook. Food took forever to get out to me. Very disappointed in this visit. Would be still good if staffed properly I suppose
Horrible service. Didn't get silverware while our food was on table getting cold. Food was gross I found shrimp in mine. Manager didn't even get us silverware. Our server didn't refill drinks she sat with other customers and was laughing very loudly. My husband and I will never eat here again. And we will be spreading the word to everyone we know. Pretty bad leaving a restaurant hungry!
I wouldn’t give this place a second thought. The waiter forgot to put my wife’s food in and acted like it wasn’t a big deal. She had told him that she has a shell fish allergy and we found shrimp in her food. Then seen that the cooks put another customer food in a smaller bowl. To fix it they just put it into a bigger bowl, so the customer payed for a large and got medium. Great idea for a restaurant but this place ain’t it. Save your money in this place.
Was treated poorly by management! Wrote a complaint letter and how they are also giving me the run around. I will not stop until this matter is handled!!
I Waited more 35 minutes and you cookers were only working on the to go orders. The waitress was going back and forth. Them I called and told her I was paying for my drink and left. Seems they forgot about me sitting there.
Very disappointed in this. First, the food area was dirty...food spilled all over the place, but we had already paid so what do you do? 2nd the grill was dirty looking. I will say the guy that did our food at least cleaned it before adding it to the grill, thus the one star. Then we waited for 45 minutes for our food to sit on the counter while we watched the servers look at them, looking at us, look at them. We finally had to ask for them to finishing bagging our food. Cause before then it appeared to be rocket science and we needed an expert to do it. That took another 15 minutes. Get the food home and it looks like the picture below. It was burnt and we had to use alot of white sauce to cover the taste. Its now white sauce soup nail rice, cause the rice is not done. Bless it!
Went last night to enjoy another great meal at Genghis Grill. Waited 5 minutes to be seated in a restaurant that only had a couple of tables seated. Things only went downhill from there. It took about 30 minutes to have our orders taken, another 15 minutes for the buffet bowls to come back, and yet another 45 to have it cooked. This location does not value your time and I will not be stepping foot in this place again. It's too bad because I really like Genghis Grill, but I'll just have to enjoy it when I'm in another city. I suspect there were staffing challenges, but a competent manager would ensure that the guests' expectations are set. Given knowledge of potential delays we could have made the choice to go elsewhere and then not be subjected to a wait. Might be willing to try it again if I learn that a new manager is in charge.
This was my first time and will be my last. We had a party of 13 and we called the day before to see if they could accommodate us and they said yes. We sat down about 7:40 and didn't get our drinks till about 8 and the bartender took care of our drinks her name was Sarah, she was really nice but she wasn't our waitress. Then we didn't get to fix out bowls till 9 and the kitchen got upset because they were clean everything up when we went up to fix our bowls and they was upset I guess there was a big lack of communication between the kitchen and the wait staff. Well some of our group got their meals and they were not done all the way, was not correct, one didn't even get there food. So we lefted and didn't even eat our food.
3/2/22 was the first ones in and was seated as soon as someone was available to seat us. Amazing customer service really friendly checking on us constantly. I got the regular size bowl which is definitely a better deal than the small. Fried rice bowl. It was really good I had put the white sauce that came when asked and it when’t really well with the rice, shrimp, Carne Asada steak, etc. just 10/10 recommend will be back hopefully sometime soon.
Waited 20 mins for a table, got seated and places our order/appatizers. In the hour that we waited for food only 1 dish was brought out. Asked them to check on the rest and apparently the appetizers were not even attempted to have been completed. The people that got seated after us- ordered after us- got their food, paid and left before we even got anyone to check on our order. The waiter in training was doing the best he could, he was lovely- but there is no reason it should have taken that long to prepare our meals. This was only my 2nd time there and my Partner had never been. I had been excited to bring them to this location, but this visit definitely left me with a bad taste in terms of service.
