Just ordered from here for the first time today. Overall, I was pleased. The Lo Mein was very flavorful. I was not a fan of the fried rice at all. It is not what I am used to getting from Chinese restaurants. The beef was a little odd looking but it wasn't bad.I will order from here again and try something different and see how that goes. Staff was very friendly and the location is very clean as well.
Hello employees from East China. I wanted to thank ya'll for the advice to teach me how to post a comment to a review. I really enjoy ya'll meal there and ya'll is very tasty too. One day I hope come back there and have meal again there some day soon. Honey breeze wings and shrimp fired rice are my favorite.
I ordered sweet and sour chicken combination. I received old, burnt, refried chicken pieces that are so hard they almost broke my teeth. The rice is gross and congealed. Totally inedible and unacceptable. This place has no respect for their customers. Do not recommend to anyone. Wasted too much money on this garbage. Won't get fooled again.
I do not like the rice I feel like I got food poisoning ??my stomach does not feel good after I ate from here. This does not look like Chinese food at all! Do not come here
Very disappointed. The fried rice was so dry, had I tried adding soy sauce but it didn't help much. The pork lo mein tasted strange, the pork was off, reminded me of pork you get from an Easter ham, not the usual taste. To top it off, it was expensive, especially for the low quality.Edit to respond to owner: So you would rather lower the quality of your product and still charge high prices? I would rather eat a good quality and pay more. Reading other reviews it seems your changes are hurting your business.
It was a great run! I have noticed that the food is not as good as it used to be. I use to be able to eat the Shrimp Fried Rice without adding soy sauce because it was that good. A couple of weeks ago asked if they changed chefs and he said no. I ordered my usual (Shrimp Fried rice) It was so bad I threw it away in the trash. I told myself that this was the last time if it was nasty again.... and it was! It hurts me to write this review. Farewell East China!
The food was gross, establishment looked a mess, and service was awful. Never again.
I have been going there for five years. Wonderful people, the food is always very fresh, very consistently delicious, and the portions are large. I have tried other Chinese food in the area and East China is the best, by far. I highly recommend.
East china used to be so good and fresh , Now when I ordered from there i just want my money back I used to enjoy getting my crispy wing combo with shrimp fried rice, but NOW chicken seem old and reheated and the rice only had 4 shrimp in it . I could of spent my hard working money else where!
3yrs ago this was my post re:East China-Great food, competitive prices and good customer serviceUnfortunately, I can’t say my most recent experience was as pleasant. While the phone portion of my call in order, the cleanliness of the restaurant, food hot & ready upon arrival to pick up are all pluses the menu I referred to for pricing was inaccurate & for many years we’ve “switched out” the white rice for the more flavorful veggie fried rice w/o extra charge (we’re talking about average order $50 & up) this time we were charged $3.50 per order for the change, this wasn’t mentioned when ordering the food (“ok we can change the white rice to veggie fried rice but, now that’s $3.50 per plate to change). The taste also wasn’t what we were used to in the past (for $70+ on an order I expect to enjoy the flavor). Other than the seasoning that makes the Gen Tso Chicken spicy-the chicken was very hard (several pieces inedible) & dry. The rice, the one we paid extra to get what we wanted, was extremely dry, it was difficult to get more than a few grains on our utensils due to the consistency of the rice & there was no flavor. Our egg rolls were fried so hard they had to be sliced into small bites before serving, the “stuffing “ in the egg roll was flavorful & of the quality we’d been used to getting from EC… I know we live in a different time now but, we shouldn’t settle for less than satisfactory quality or quantity especially when we’re absorbing higher cost on every level.DB
