Great spot for a drink and a bite!Nice rustic atmosphere with regular deals each day. My wife and I got a free appetizer with our meals and weren't disappointed! The chicken sandwich was a bit dry, but the fried chicken was excellent. Will definitely return!
The nacho tots (appetizer) is definitely a hit. Highly recommend! That's about where it stops for me. I'll preface by saying - I know many restaurants are short staffed in this post-Covid working era. However, we waited a loooong time for our meals, and it was far from busy. For context, there were less than 5 tables of people dining in. Our second appetizer (brussel sprouts) was so burnt they were inedible and had to be sent back. One of our Mas had to be sent back because it wasn't prepared to order. My meal, chicken and waffles, was mediocre at best. For lunch - an appetizer, 2 adult meals, 2 kids meals was $90+ and unfortunately, nothing we had justified that bill. All in all, nice ambiance with great aesthetics, and a great waitress, but there won't be a second trip for us.
Good Nashville-style honkytonk and restaurant. Burgers were delicious! The bologna sandwich is not as cheap as you'll get at Robert's in Nashville (nor come with a PBR) so we didn't try that.
Great atmosphere. A little crowded later on but that's to be expected. Food was delicious. Kind of pricey. Bartender Houston made me the best drinks and provided awesome service. Will be back.
Went tonight and ordered the hot fried chicken. Someone other than our server brought out the regular fried chicken. Waitress abandoned us, had to ask for her to be sent to our table. She said it was wrong and she would bring us a little cup of hot spices, that was the only difference. We asked for manager, he came after about 10 minutes. Said oh, wrong food, I will comp it 50%. We said we were not happy, he was indifferent. Oh well, we know where to not eat again. Terrible service.
Had a great dinner date with my husband tonight at Earl’s :First off this place has a great atmosphere. We were seated with no wait at 7pm on a Saturday night. But, it did fill up quickly after. Our server was Taylor. She was wonderful , very friendly and attentive! And then we had a great meal.I had the Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and I added a side of collards. My husband had the half chicken fried with Mac &Cheese and also the collards. The meatloaf with gravy, the fried chicken and the collards had awesome flavor.Unfortunately the Mac and cheese fell a little flat. But, he added some salt and proceeded on?We will be going back again and I definitely recommend trying this place. Thanks for a great evening!
I'm only giving this place a 5 star because Google won't let me give it a 10. I was in town and called a local friend and wanted dinner. He was out of town and told me to come here. I wanted Thai so I almost didn't go when he descibed it as Country Americana. I was thinking Cracker Barrel knockoff, boy was I wrong.I was told to sit at the bar and ask for Houston, the bartender. He suggested an Old Fashion after I told him my "favorite spirit", best one I ever had. It also paired nicely with my dinner. I asked for help on the menu with three entrees. He said "hands down all day, the meatloaf". It was next level. I couldn't even tell it was meatloaf. It was prepared beautifully and after the first bite I was hooked on this place. The depth of flavor, I had to sit and savor the first bite. Now the place is a new favorite. I also met Mark the manager. He told me the dessert list and I chose the apple cobbler. And of course it came with ice cream. Wow! Not grandma"s either. Served in an iron skillet, the apples were "ribbon cut". They weren't dried out and there was no "crumble" like I was expecting and I didn't miss it.They have great drink specials every night or you can try the house "party juice". I think Houston made about 30 "lemon drops" while I was there, the drink special of the night. He never slowed down and was just as personable and friendly.Outside the bathroom is a cool funky art dispenser. It's an old cigarette dispenser turned into an art store. I haven't seen one of these since I was in Chandler, AZ over 10 years ago. Pop in $5 and choose your art. I got an upcycled computer byte pendant. The vibe is support cool. Its a little dark in side after the sun goes down and I had to use the light on my phone to read the menu. But the vibe with the old tin marquee letters over the bar, the hundreds of photos framed on the wall and buildings beam support covered with stickers. And lighted tree made this place perfect for an out of town traveler in shorts to a beautiful dressed couple for date night for dinner. I'm coming back for my birthday dinner here.
Stopped here Sunday for a drink and a bite to eat and loved it. The bartender Houston was a blast. Made my wife an excellent Old Fashioned, his specialty. He introduced us to the chef who had made delicious fried Brussels sprouts. Treated us to a taste of his own bottled rum which was really flavorful. Got to make this a regular stop when Houston is on the bar!
I come here every so often for the deep fried pickles because they are always on point. The entire staff is always friendly. The bartender Houston in particular is phenomenal and clearly has a passion for his craft. Stop in and ask him to create you something different- you won’t be disappointed!
Was a little hesitant to go after reading so many negative reviews, but I’m glad we did. Good food, good service and Mark was only one that would assure his we would have enough space and time for ten people to eat before a play on a Saturday night.
