This was a very strange and disappointing dinner. Waiter was working solo we waited a while for our order to be taken. As the waiter continued to have conversations with other patrons I asked if we can place an order. Immediate attitude from the waiter, rude language. As we looked around the restaurant and saw signage my wife was wearing a mask. We quickly discovered that this was an anti mask establishment which is fine with me to each his own.WE WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS AGAIN.This was my fault for not reading the reviews like usually when we travel to a new area.Thai Food was Good!

We went to this place on a cold rainy day to get some hot pho. Me & my fiancé both had masks on. When we entered (no one else was there but the owner) he said I don’t do any mask mandates & my fiancé said ok no problem we will have our masks off when we eat. I was very disappointed by the customer service we had received so far (he was very rude) so I said it’s ok we don’t need to eat here, we will go somewhere else. He then screamed and said “get out of my place with your stupid masks & slammed the door behind us” I was actually worried he was going to physically harm us! Do not go here…you may get hurt!

Giving this restaurant 5 stars, for three main things, well deserved in all categories; food, atmosphere, and cost. From the start, signs surrounding the entrance support an open, mandate free environment, not to mention a few signs dedicated to those with a skilled trigger finger. Inside you are greeted with the humbleness of decor truly supporting of our great country. Although there are only two beer options, you needn’t worry as the food is superior to other local Thai and Vietnamese restaurants. With such good quality it might come as a shock to you that it is a modestly priced restaurant. My husband I have found a hidden gem, and our new favorite Thai restaurant. Owner and staff are also very personable and patriotic, not much more you could ask for from a restaurant in todays times. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

The food is phenomenal. Some of the best Thai I have ever had. The owner is a very nice guy and very personable. The curry has no fish sauce so fine for vegetarians and vegans. For the people leaving dumb one star reviews because of the owner’s political beliefs, you look ridiculous. Do you think because there are pro open carry signs that you are in some kind of danger? If someone wants to kill you they aren’t going to follow you into a restaurant where lawful citizens open carry. You live in the South and you’re upset that people own guns? Come on. This restaurant is very safe and welcoming.Instead of whining about the pro gun signs, leave honest reviews about the food which is awesome.

This place has the audacity to call itself a business. Yelled at a friend of mine for wearing a mask. She was polite gave back the menu and left. The owner yelled at her!!!! If you're a decent human being you should probably avoid this place like the plague. Since they don't. They embrace the plague.

If you want your Pad Thai or Pho served with a side of invective from the owner, this is the place to be. If you want to have a nice Thai meal served to you by nice people, there are many good choices in Winston-Salem other than Downtown Thai. The owner only welcomes those who agree with his political views, and you stand the chance of being ejected if you don't fit in.

Fantastic food, phenomenal atmosphere! This guy cares about his food and his customers. Let him recommend the food, you will not be disappointed! Best place in town for Thai/Asian cuisine. Don't let the signs scare you off; if they do, freedom may not be for you...move to China or Canada.

Random find for Thai food on Valentine’s Day and our day was absolutely made. The owner was our speed entirely. True to himself, sarcastic, dry humor. We all had the best laughs. Not to mention the food was absolutely incredible. We left and my friend from out of town, says.. that was the best dining experience ever. By the time we left, we felt like family. 15/10. It’s a bit of a drive for me, but I will definitely be back!

READ BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO VISIT.went here with my wife for lunch today. immediately, my stomach dropped seeing the amount of pro gun signs there were plastered all over the restaurant. we walked in and was not greeted with even a simple “hello” just a “sit wherever” in a condescending tone. sat down at our table and right away asked for our drink order. when we took too long to answer, he became frustrated and walked away and brought us back waters. not even a minute later he comes back for our order. barely had time to open the menu.when our food arrived, i asked for the typical spices and condiments tray. i wish i could re-enacted his tone when he said “we don’t have spice trays anymore.” such a simple sentence but his intentions were clearly not that of genuine care or respect.when he gave us our check, i pulled out my credit card to give to him to ring it up. he came back with a portable card swiper and had me pay there. the tip option came up on the screen and he handed me the machine and said “you can tip if you want, it’s up to you” as if he were looking down on us. i said i would tip in cash, and without saying a word, he finished the payment and walked away.never in my life have i seen such a bitter, rude, and disrespectful restaurant owner. i seriously hope this man gets the help he needs because the future of this restaurant is in jeopardy.

Hands down the best pho in town!!!! My friends and I love coming here. The food is amazing and the service is great, The owner always welcomes us in and treats us good. 10/10 recommended.
