My boyfriend and I are vegan and while visiting Winston Salem we were recommended to check out Dom's. We were excited to try the food but were met with a very unorganized and disappointing experience. We walked through town and arrived at Dom's on a Saturday at 6pm planning to grab a bite before we head to our 8 o'clock event. When we asked for a table for two we were told that they were taking no more walk-ins. We asked if we could sit at the bar and we were told that they were under-staffed and could not serve us. We asked if we could wait on a table, which we were told that we couldn't, and right as we were about to leave we were asked if we wanted take-out instead. An employee then told us that the cauliflower appetizer was delicious and so we asked if we could place an order for the cauliflower and look over the menu for an entree. We asked if we could order the supreme pizza and we were told that they couldn't because they were out of Pizza boxes. We asked if we could take the pizza in a separate to-go container and we were told no. We asked to speak to the manager to see if there was any way that we could try the pizza and she explained how "They aren't allowed to serve their pizza to-go" but that she would do it this one time. We waited for the pizza while sitting on an indoor bench for 40 minutes, while we were sitting, we saw plenty of tables open up as other customers were leaving but we were never asked if we wanted to be seated now that tables are available and never offered water as we sat there, ignored. Our names were called for the pizza (Which was in a pizza box) and when I asked about the cauliflower they said that they forgot to place the order for the appetizer. We told them it was ok and left the restaurant with the pizza in hand looking for a park or somewhere that we could sit and eat, and when we opened the pizza box we saw that the pizza was not sliced (just a big round pizza), the pizza was undercooked (all of the cheese slid off the pizza when we took it out the box) and that there were barely any toppings on it. We walked all the way back to Dom's brought the pizza back and just simply asked for a refund. We decided to walk a few blocks up the street and eat at a restaurant called Yamas which had a much better experience. We were really looking forward to trying the food at Dom's but after this experience I would not have integrity if I recommended this restaurant to anyone.
We found Dom's online and they did not disappoint! The Korean BBQ and Buffalo cauliflower was delicious! The fried oyster mushrooms and polenta was equally tasty! The ginger brew was surprisingly good. I plan to visit again for sure.
The food is always wonderful and the staff are amazing! My husband and I travel an hour just to eat here.

Great place for vegan and vegetarian food. The Mac n cheese, Buffalo Cauliflower and Cauliflower Garbanzo Curry absolutely delicious. Wasn't too much of a fan of the Herb Crusted Tempeh. The portion sizes are shareable. Will definitely visit again next time in town.
Sooooooo happy to have found a vegan restaurant on our trip to Winston Salem! Ate dinner at Dom’s twice during our 2 day trip ❤️ Every dish we tried was delicious ?
Literally the best plant based restaurant I've ever eaten at. Quite easily a top five restaurant overall, and I've eaten at Michelin star and renowned restaurants in New York, D.C., and London. The menu is simple, there is bound to be an item (or more) of interest to you and your party. Highly recommend booking a reservation and saving this on your maps as a favorite restaurant. Great job to the chefs and great service from the staff. All the best!
Will definitely be back. Everything is plant based. My hubby and I ordered 2 entrees that were a good size, a pot of tea which equaled 5 cups, and shared a dessert. We were stuffed! You have to make reservations.
