Camino Bakery Brookstown is located right beside Old Salem and has a storefront that you cannot miss. This location welcomes their customers with the aroma with freshly baked goods and perfectly roasted coffee beans. Compared to the downtown location, the Brookstown Camino boasts a cozy atmosphere with pastel paintings on the walls and more than enough tables and chairs for their customers. Their Matcha Latte has a fairly strong flavor of matcha, and you honestly can't go wrong with their danishes or muffins.WORTH IT? YES, this location is much cuter and cozier than the downtown location! (Overall 7.5/10)

The name may be Camino Bakery (and their baked goods are absolutely stellar), but I’m here for the coffee! Super solid espresso shots and their drip coffee knocks it out of the park. Camino rivals any specialty coffee shop around!Whoever is choosing which roasts to use from Counter Culture Coffee Roasters really understands coffee and they train their baristas well. I would prefer a lighter roasted coffee for my espresso, but I got two defect free shots on different days so I can’t complain! I got drip coffee in both the morning and afternoon near closing time and it was good at both times.I prefer this location because there is free parking and the baked goods case is a bit bigger. I really liked the vibe of the seating area.

First, the pluses: Good single origin drip available daily (from Counter Culture), very good in-house baked goods. Now, the minuses: Coffee is brewed weak (much less than the 1:15 you'd find at a top-flight cafe) -- kind of a waste of the single origin beans, if you ask me. Effective May 9th they sneaked in a 6.42% surcharge - on top of the 15-25% tip that's expected for serving you at the counter. Surcharge is to pass on costs for Camino's unwillingness to pay their un-tipped staff a living wage from their already high prices(!) This is becoming common in W-S - see "Bobby Boy" bakery.

I loved visiting Camino Bakery for the very first time. We had hot chai lattes, a croissant, and also tried the apple tart. It was delicious, the staff was friendly, and we had a fun relaxing time catching up! Thanks for the great atmosphere.IG: lion_rose_music

Best Bakery & Coffee in Winston-Salem. They have expanded seating inside and have a lovely quiet outdoor patio. Close to Old Salem and downtown. THE BEST almond croissants on earth and delicious pastries. Always polite and helpful service with a great staff of good humans. I love coming to Camino when visiting UNCSA and whenever driving through Winston-Salem. Go. Just Go!

They're the best! I got two of their bagels, they far beat grocery store kind, and a loaf of their garlic rosemary bread. It is the best bread I've ever had. They will slice it for free, and any bread loaf there is a great price. I would not mind driving a half an hour just to go back there. They are so worth it. !!

It's really a charming place where the staff is smiling and welcoming.Drinks and Food are demicious. As a Frenchman, I can tell you that pains au chocolat are the best.Special mention for the Almond croissant OMG ! :-D

Walked into this Camino for the first time. I’ve been to the one on 4th street so many times and everyone is so friendly and professional. Absolutely recommend that one. This small one here I walked in and it was “cold.” I was having a friendly conversation with another customer on what she ordered when the young woman immediately jumped on me to wear a mask(it’s not posted to do so) so I willingly complied but asked her if she was okay? And she rudely said “Oh I’m just great!” I’m a peaceful person. And I genuinely wanted to know if she was okay or if I offended her but she just pointed to the masks so I grabbed one. I then ordered an eggnog chai tea latte the customer I was speaking with recommended and while I was sitting down I overheard them talking to another customer that they were out of eggnog. So when they called my order I came up and asked about that. The gentleman said he would go and check. He came back and didn’t say anything as he helped other customers. Another young lady came up to me minutes later and said “We don’t have any eggnog do you want a refund or something?” I asked her what was in it (I stay away from strictly dairy as much as I can). She said “whole milk.” I asked if she could remake it with oat milk, she didn’t say anything just walked away and made it. I was very polite and accommodating. I just don’t appreciate them making something that I didn’t want and writing what it should have been on the cup. The attitudes and the cold atmosphere with the dishonesty was very odd putting, especially since the one on 4th is sooooo warming and professional and I have a great time every time. This was a little saddening to be honest. And a few people from my church that I explained what happened all said the same thing. That’s it’s not a very friendly atmosphere. I recommend ByGood across the street if that area is convenient. But if you are up into 4th street I definitely recommend that Camino. I hope management makes some changes. I understand Covid is a sensitive topic for us all. But there was absolutely no reason to coldly force your personal agenda on anyone or act so irritated that other people don’t think or feel the same, and maybe not know what every establishments rules are. For they are all different around town. We are all walking through this life together and I recommend management to find someone a little older and kinder to lead the group of kids there, and I pray that they all find peace, love and joy in these troubling times. I have never left a review on anything before, but the way I was treated I hope nobody experiences.

They have GF and Vegan pastries, they're super friendly, and the drinks are always wonderful. Camino carries counter culture beans which makes a great cup of coffee.

Love this place!!! They have it all: sweet and savory, classics and originals, with and without caffeine. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality and wait times are short, even if the place appears busy. They are very covid friendly (masks required and hand sanitizer available). Indoor and outdoor seating available, in a charming atmosphere. Be sure to check out their location at the Cobblestone Market too!
