I have eaten here several times. I am always pleased with the great food and excellent service.
My wife and I used to be frequent customers. Today was the first time we visited in over a year. We both were very disappointed in the quality of their food. I've never had ribs as dry and tasteless as the ones they charge $12.95 on special for. My wife had chicken monterrey and the best thing about it was the baked potato. Veggies were just mush instead of crisp and fresh. Chicken was on the dry side as well. They have raised food prices but lowered food quality. Just to be clear, they waitress and all other wait staff was top notch. I lay the sole blame of this experience on the owners. You've taken a great restaurant and ruined it. Please bring back quality food.
Love this restaurant. Always clean, servers are always great. Food is always delicious. Great menu.
Every couple of weeks my 91-year-old aunt and I have lunch at Cagney's ... good food and service! We'll keep going. ?
We enjoy ordering take away from Cagneys bbq. We got 2 orders of bbq and homemade chips. The chips never last long! So good! However, when we spend $5.95 for onion rings and get 5 onion rings, that’s a problem. All in a tasty, just disappointed in the onion rings.
Ordered 2 chopped bar-b-que plates and they wasn't that good fat in mine and sause was 2 spicy ... I came straight home I live close by my food wasn't hot it was cold . The only thing good was the desserts . I will not go back there ever . Now the one on old Salisbury Rd has great food .... I don't know what the problem is?
They can never get orders correct. We stopped going there for about 6 months and tried again and last two orders wrong. Asked for crispy fries and not cooked done. Asked for medium rare steak strips they were well done. Asked the girl for 5 packs of crackers she gave me two and one was crushed in PCs. I gave it back to her and asked her for three more packs she gave me two so I just gave up. She couldn’t get me 5 packs of crackers in two attempts. ?. I guess it’s back to Arcadia Grill or Wallburg Pizzeria.
Come here if you want to pay 12$ for instant mash potatoes, old broccoli casserole and literally straight water in my chicken pie with veggies and a floating pie crust. I don’t know how this restaurant isn’t shut down. Do not eat here unless you don’t care about yourself.
Outstanding home cooked type offerings! I do alot of travelling around the piedmont and have seen the various Cagney diners around Winston and Lexington... Wife and i stopped to get a couple of sandwich combos and wee blown away.Great service.Lexington style chopped BBQ was good... This is wifes biggest joy is a bbq sandwich, so when she says it good its good.. lacked the texture and some pop other "pure" bbq have but still a fine sandwichI tried the Cagney Club and it is a BIG sandwich.. could have saved half of it. But wow, was really goodHomemade chips were crispy like a pringle and didnt have any oil residue..just crisp chips..wonderful tasteDown sides? Perhaps the texture of the bbq but the other would be plopping my fries on tip of the club in same container..The big takeaway is that Cagneys is well worth the stop...menu is extensive! Service is great! Food is deliciousWell worth five stars.
Food and service was awesome. Will definitely be going again. And prices were very affordable.
