Just got a chicken sandwich as soon as they opened. The bun tasted like a bread roll, pickles tasted more like cucumber, not a lot like pickle vinegar at all, i took it right outside and pickle side was soggy underneath similar to chic fila. This sandwich was definitely not made to order, but recently made before i walked in with no line waiting outside... If i pay this much for a chicken sandwich I expect it to be MTO also. Chicken tastes like only salt and pepper and very strong chicken flavor, which i suppose is the joyce farm's chicken. Nothing wrong with simply seasoning like this, see this all the time in carolina cooking.It tastes like something your grandma from the south would make you, and to be honest this style is so different than everyone in the chicken wars, it deserves a mention, but it hasn't won me over. Instead of overdoing the seasoning and flavors, beaulahs has a very country approach to just let the natural ingredients take the stage. The breader was not that great in my opinion, the texture was not what i prefer, maybe if it was just fried. Maybe I'll go here again if I'm bored! Great job yall!
Honestly had higher hopes for this place, butI ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with fries.The chicken lacked flavor and crispy ness. I felt as if this could have been executed better. The fries in the other hand were AMAZING. Great flavor, texture and size. Nice cracked black pepper and could tell they were fresh cut. If you like a fresh French fry cut in house with salt and lots of cracked pepper, come here and just get the fries as they were bussin. I want to give this place 4 stars but with the price ($18) for just 1 meal made only 3 stars.
I haven’t been to CFA since Bossy’s opened several months ago. Their chicken sandwich is high quality and the fries are cut straight from potatoes which I love. Great pickles and homemade sauces as well. Also the staff are wonderful!
First time there and it was really good! We had the wings and bites. Light, crispy, flavorful breading and tender juicy chicken. We both had coleslaw on the side and that was good too. The only reason I gave a 4 out of 5 is because of the limited menu...fried chicken, fried chicken or fried chicken. We'll definitely be back but unfortunately not often because menu is so limited and only choices are fried chicken
Wow! Just went here for the first time...and WOW! So good! Food was great. Staff was awesome! I has the Bossy Bites with the Bossy sauce and added the hot sauce as well. Added fries.... and ate every bite! Highly recommend you give this place a go! I'll be returning often!
This is my daughter's and my favorite chicken spot now. The chicken is flavorful, always fresh, and delicious. My daughter always gets the bossy bites snack box. It comes with enough fries for us to share. I get the wings or a sandwich. Everything is amazing. The strawberry ice cream is something special too!! The staff is always friendly and welcoming. We go about once a week after school. Sometimes we eat there, preferably outside, and sometimes it's to go. Either way the service and food never disappoints. When the 6 year old no longer asks for McDonald's or Chick-fil-A and always wants Bossy Beulah's... They're doing something right!!
Ate at Bossu Beulah’s yesterday. The wings were crispy and tasty. I had ordered ahead and my order was ready almost as soon as I arrived. The fries and slaw were good too! Nice outdoor seating and the place had plenty of helpful employees. I will be back.
