Amazing Food and Service! Had a Great Experience! Excellent overall!!
Cleanliness rating of just a 93. Dirty building. Furnishings and carpet probably not updated in 20 years. Clammy atmosphere. Chef was boring and simply cooked the food. Despite having a reservation you will still have to wait. No laughs or excitement. Find somewhere else to go.
I tried all day on a Tuesday to make a reservation. We were told we could come as a walk-in for a table of seven. Upon arrival we were told it would be a 30 to 40 minute wait. This being said we agreed to wait, went to the bar and grabbed a drink. Just as soon as we had our drinks in hand we were seated! Amazing how that worked. We were looking to have a great experience, a bit of entertainment to go along with our food. What a disappointment!! The chef had no, zero personality, our food was not very tasty, over cooked chicken, and overcooked shrimp. Not very many veggies, but the steak was ok. For the money, I would choose another restaurant. I won't be back! What a shame because this used to be an amazing place!!

the service sucked, we were all out of drinks for a good minute and then the cook put way too much lemon on everyone's food. we were there to celebrate a birthday, they came and beat the drums for like 10 seconds and said Happy Birthday and walked off. we shouldn't have to pay the service fees for bad service!
Food was really good. I had the salmon with ginger sauce; in a word, amazing! The chef was funny, and the overall service was pleasing. Nice atmosphere.
I loved the food as much as I loved the experience. Downsides, the wait for enough people to fill a table even if you make reservations. Upsides, a lot. The food is amazing and delicious, the staff is friendly and personable, the chefs are engaging when they cook in front of you, and did I mention delicious? The meat was tender and cooked to my specifications perfectly. The veggies were the right amount of tender and crisp. You got plenty of sauces of your choice. It truly was a great experience and something I recommend to everyone at least once in their lifetime.
You guys need to add gratuity to every table…period. Because my husband and I were at a table with a party of 6 that complained about everything and even pulled the race card…we had 15% added to our bill. Our server and chef were amazing..25% or more is what they deserved and would have received. I am assuming you did this to us because of the others at our table, I understand, but the party of 2 should have been informed.
I have mixed feelings about this place. When we went, the food was amazing and tasted really good in my opinion, but the show wasn't much to write home about. The chef only did about 2 tricks and then cooked like it wasn't any different from a regular kitchen. Our waitress was wonderful, and made sure to check on us often.
Without a doubt, THE ABSOLUTE BEST Japanese restaurant! Their white sauce is like no other! Ive been coming here since I was barely a teenager and every other place I try, disappoints and doesn’t even come close! Highly, highly recommend! The only downside is they no longer have the sponge cakes at the end of your meal..(& havent for a while) but that’s due to the company who manufactured them, went out of business. Sadly.. because those were seriously the best things ever!Also, for those disappointed in “lack of a show” I’m personally there for the food.. not tricks! Lol It sounds kinda ridiculous to hold against them. They don’t do as much as they used to with “tricks” since covid and probably don’t talk as much because it’s hard to understand with a mask on… just something to think about.
