Not really sure how you’re supposed to rate the food if you cannot get anyone to answer the phone
We have done take out pizza couple times now after recommendations from some locals. Last night we sat at the bar and had an appetizer, antipasto and pizza. Love the bar area, it's a good size separate from the main dining room so it's cozy and quiet with some booth tables for sit down seating. Nice selection of wine and spirits while not being overkill, with friendly attentive and busy bar staff.Pizza has been excellent every time, and consistency is important. They pile on the toppings and they are flavorful and fresh a top a thin NY style crust. We ordered mozzarella sticks and it was an ample portion of six sticks that were fried to perfection. Seen some pictures of the marinara sauce online and it didn't look great, however the dipping sauce for the mozz sticks was thick and delicious so thinking the photos just aren't doing justice.Got the antipasto for two and it was also well presented with a small bed of romaine iceberg mix and a selection of ham, salami and cheese, With some tomato slices, cucumber, sliced black olive and pepperoncinis. Dressing is served on the side which is nice. Honestly the appetizer, salad and the complimentary basket of bread was enough of a meal, but we managed to tough it out and plow through a slice or two of pizza as well. The rest came home.Thinking we do need to come back for dinner and actually try some of the entrees. 2:00 and white linen napkins from sneak peeks into the dining room. If everything is done to the same level of quality has what we've had so far it could be a real keeper. Also met the owner, Paul, who's a good looking hard working guy ?. Bar area is a local hangout and regular stop for Wilsonites, as several groups were chatting with each other and staff.
Amazing! Good tasting Italian fare. Good service! I truly appreciate Paul's cooking. 18 years of service in wilson. Stop by we will be here many times
While I love the food, atmosphere and all, I have never been kicked out of a restaurant exactly when the time hit closing before. I had paid my bill, boxed up my leftovers, and was just finishing the last half of my piece of bread when the waitress Catherine walks up and states they're closed and I needed to go. I looked at my phone and it was exactly closing. Would a couple minutes to let me leave at my pace have been that difficult? I was obviously getting there. Guess I will pass on Paul's if it's anywhere near closing, because heaven forbid their kitchen is slow and you get booted before you can finish eating.
Not impressed with the food definitely will not be back pizza came out cold ordered the chicken and tomato pizza no pizza sauce tons of tomatoes and a few pieces of breaded chicken the whole pie was extremely dry and the house salad had so much shredded mozzarella on it I could barely see the two chunks of cucumbers and the three slices of tomatoes vinaigrette was tastelesswaitress was nice
Worst Italian food I ever had veal was tough. Chicken cabana was like like water I'm not Italian. But I cook it and I would not serve that to my doy that's now bad it was
I just love this place. Best Italian anywhere nearby. The service is great!
Amazing place! Generous portion sizes, flavorful food, wonderful and attentive waitstaff. The prices are not bad at all, we wish we'd found this gem years ago
We were seated before half the restaurant was seated and they all had their food and out before we even ordered. Worst service ever and the food was so so. Waitress did not care that we were there for over two hours and she said sorry. nothing we can do about itNever plan to go back!!
Great food! Great service... Nicole was wonderful as our waitress; attentive and personable... recommend highly!
