*HEED THE REVIEWS and save yourself from making the same mistake we did. I've already submitted a very similar review of this same experience to the company via their survey site.*I'm from SC visiting the Wilmington area for a day, and LORD have mercy. From start to finish, this location is a hot mess. The cashier was friendly, but that was our only positive note. We ordered, went to get our drinks (sweet tea tasted the same as the unsweet), then waited 23 minutes for our food. Eventually I asked how long we were going to wait for our food, and the cashier went to check. She eventually noticed she accidentally bagged it as an online order. No biggie, she hands it over. Out of the 5 finger and 4 finger chicken finger plates with extra fries instead of slaw we had ordered, our toast was stale and undercooked, the fries were bland and undercooked, as well as missing the "extra" part of the extra fries, and our tenders were lukewarm and overcooked almost to burnt. We gave up halfway through trying to eat, and just left. We didn't ask for the manager because honestly I'm not even sure if they had one in the building, and short of a refund on our $23.09 order, I don't know what else a manager would've/could've done.
First off the customer service at this location is absolute trash. Your employees are unorganized, unsanitary, and extremely unprofessional. My husband and I went through your drive through for a spicy chicken sandwich meal and an original sandwich meal. After handing us the wrong drinks 3 times and handing us the incorrect food. The person at the window literally had to ask what our order was. I paid them with $8 in cash and the rest should have been on card. Unfortunately the employees also don’t understand cash management and are incapable of managing a POS system. Picture below is the incorrect charge. I called the manager asking for a refund because my experience is inexcusable. Not only did I get the wrong food, but management clearly does not know how to run a business. I would greatly appreciate it if management would follow up with me since they have my name and number and I would also like it if they would respond with corporate information and maybe someone who is more capable of giving me my money back.Some more bullet points:-your employees shouldn’t be standing on their phone at the window when someone has been waiting for 12 minutes in drive-hygiene is usually a standard and your employees BO practically leached through the window-POS system management should be taken more seriously. Taking incorrect amounts of money or giving back incorrect amounts of money is bad for business! You’ll lose money eventually.
Went in to get a order that I had called about 2 weeks earlier, where they did get my order right, and was then told I needed a receipt. From 2 weeks earlier, really??? Worst customer service I have ever had!!! I wouldn't suggest eating here, but if you do, definitely check your bag before you leave, the workers here are incompetent!!!!!!
Waiting by the mic through the drive-thru for over 5 minutes.. I had to call them on my phone just to get their attention, to get someone to a mic.... when I got my order there were no straw and no ketchup that I asked... I had to park and come back to get it my self...I order mushrooms and barely got any.. And there also was burned
no matter how many times you tell them what you want, it is NEVER right. there is always a sauce missing or if you ask for something to not be in your order, they don't care...its still on there. they are so rude in the drive thru, its always "what do you want" and "is that all" with very heavy attitudes. no one likes to work, but don't be rude to your customers. i am a regular customer and am always trying to give you guys the benefit of the doubt, but I am proved wrong EVERY time....
1st time eating here...food was petty good. I had the Buffalo Garlic chicken. My biggest turn off with the place was walking outside to leave and 2 of the cooks that just made my food was out back hanging out at their car smoking weed like it was no biggie. and I know it's just weed but come on?♂️?♂️
I have no idea what is going on with this place recently, but it’s beyond bad! A few weeks ago my client came from DC and was Nice enough to order me a salad on her way to her appointment with me. 3 meals and they Forgot my salad. I don’t know if she went back for it, but I know she called and someone She spoke to said there was “a few problems this morning with the drive through”. The following week I drove all the way over there to get myself a salad and when I got to work to eat it, no salad dressing at all. I couldn’t drive back before my next client and it Was bad by time I got done that night. They did say they would make another, I Got it a few days later, and I appreciated that. Tonight was the last straw for me, the young man taking the money, opened the window, doesn’t say a word, not a hi, bye, thank you, the price, or even ask me what I ordered, just complete silence. Mind you I have had the same experience with him before on two other occasions. It’s so weird and awkward every time, but tonight when he slammed the change in my hand, that was just too much. I never experienced that before. Like he is mad at the whole world. Now I know this man doesn’t know who I am or that my order wad screwed up before, because my client is the one who got it. The wait for the food never bothered me, I’m patient, and I’m very Courteous when I order, (please, thank you, yes maam,no maam) but when I pull up I get treated like that, and there is 8 people in the front, one is drawing on a cup, and they All cutting up, even the chef,( and only Two were actually taking orders or packing) it doesn’t make no sense. I don’t even do reviews bc I know what it’s like to have employees mess things up. Things happen. But this being like the third time I had this weird, uncalled for experience, it’s showing that management must not care to let employees continuously act like that. Even my husband refuses to go anymore after his last experience a few days ago. The food is good, so it’s a shame. As bad as McDonald’s is, at least they say the price….
Ordered our food around 1:50, sat around until 2:20 to ask what was the hold up to find out they didn’t even start the order. Food showed up at 2:35, fries were cold, chicken room temperature.

This place was absolute trash. My friend was eating the salad when she took her last bite and found that she had bitten down on what we assumed to be bits of someones jewelry. It hurt her tooth and her throat feels scratched. My real review is a 0/5 & I will never recommend this restaurant, nor go to any other location again. This was my first time having Zaxby's in about 4 years and I am highly disappointed. I use to like Zaxby's but not anymore.
