First time at this restaurant after a recommendation from good friends. Wait time during peak business hours on a Monday was less than 30 minutes without a reservation, which gave us time to walk around the waterfront area. Employees were all kind and personable. The food was prepared quickly, the portions were surprisingly larger than expected, and the sushi was delicious. Take advantage of the daily specials as they are quite the bargain. Will definitely be back!

Overall this place was great. Enjoyd the food and atmosphere here on a Friday night. There seems to be some good daily specials on drinks and also happy hour menu specials on food and drinks. I had sushi and it was good but wasn't blown away completely but a lot of their other menu options sounded really good also so I'd like to try one of those next time.

Arrived at 5:20pm and was asked if we had reservations, I said I spoke to the hostess at 5:11pm and was told we did not need resevations. She told us she will seat but she needed the table back at 7pm. It reminded both of us of our first attempt to eat at this restaurant about 18 months ago. Back then she took our number on the waiting list but never call or texted us. The manager replied to my review to come back but we have stayed away until today. Food is very good and portions are generous. Our waitress was very nice and service was good. We left before 7pm. The hostess saw us got up on our way out but did not attempt to greet us.

A maze to get in, our waiter got distracted talking to another client for 20 mins and then came up and said the food will take another 30 mins to prepare. The wait wasn’t worth it but in general the atmosphere was cool. Wouldn’t go there again, but don’t regret this time

I LOVE Yosake!!! We went here last night for my 21st birthday and it was an amazing experience, as always. I had an amazing server who was very helpful with everything. She really took care of us and made sure everyone enjoyed what they were eating. When I tried an alcoholic drink and I didn’t like it she was very quick to recommend me something different and bring it out to me, the second drink was so good that 3 other people at our table got it too! The sushi is absolutely amazing, edamame was delicious, and the cheesecake is phenomenal! Overall love this place and will definitely be back. Thanks Yosake for an amazing 21st birthday! The second drink btw was a blueberry cocktail!

My experience at YoSake will go down in history as one of the top dining experiences in my life. First of all, my husband and I were starved. This was one of the only times we've left our kids and went to a concert at the new outdoor venue in town and the show started late and didn't have ample food and we were ravenous. After the trek over, we ordered sushi and learned it would take over an hour to come out-the place was slammed..thank the Lord we even got a reservation. So, we also ordered the Lo Mein (I can't remember if we added a protein...if so, maybe chicken or shrimp). WOW! It was massive! We didn't even need the sushi! It filled us up and we still had leftovers. We also had the coconut lemongrass soup, which was dynamite. Honestly, the sushi wasn't that great (in our opinion), but I'll be talking about that Lo Mein for a LONG, LONG time!

My go to spot for sushi or Japanese. Awesome service, great ambiance, and if you are looking for a great deal, go from 5-7 tues/thurs or 10-12 weekends for the happy hour menu

Coolest little spot! Hood city vibes with friends sushi staff. Loved the food and service. Thank you.

Everything I would want in a sushi lounge. Great drinks, and great sushi. Next time I'm in Wilmington will be coming back

Hands down the best sushi in Wilmington. My wife, the non sushi eater, was very happy with her teriyaki chicken and rice. If you go on a Saturday you can get $5 sake bombs!
