First off, this is a genuine review. I came here with a party of three. The menu's looked great and we were eager to get our meal started. I ordered a frozen pina colada to which I was informed they cannot make because they don't have the machine for them(strike one). We ordered the loaded spuds appetizer which is supposed to come on potato wedge like fries, it arrived on shoe string fries instead, wasn't nearly as good (Strike two). My mother ordered the flatbread which they didnt have, then went to the all you can eat shrimp platter which in the menu picture depicts medium/large headless fried shrip, it arrived as simple popcorn shrimp, which actually was pretty good for popcorn shrimp. My wife ordered wings and when they arrived they were the smallest little baby wings, quite disappointing (strike three). But we are not done yet, I ordered the ultimate bacon cheeseburger and boy did this thing look yummy on the menu, unfortunately when it arrived I legitimately thought they forgot the burger patty? I took it apart only to find this little bitty burger patty that was way passed a medium cook about 1/3 of the size of the bun, I sent it back and the waitress informs me the kitchen has run out of normal burger patties so they gave me a small slider patty and just hoped I wouldn't complain or notice, the waitress agreed that was unacceptable and she was quite embarassed. She offered to comp the burger off the bill which was appreciated and told me she wasn't aware they had no patties. There was 3 parties sitting around us, i watched buffalo chicken dip come out and get sent back, another party was pre warned about the burger and when it arrived was still surprised it was so tiny. My bill was 49 dollars, I left the waitress a 20 dollar tip because I genuinely felt bad for her how embarassing it must be to work there. There was no supervisor or manager in sight, no one to come apologize, the kitchen clearly needs some direction and help. How about making a managerial decision to stop serving burgers and trying to trick people with slider patties? I will never ever return to this place. With all the great food in wilmington, wild wing cafe is going to fail. I understand supply chain issues are a real thing but be up front and honest with your customers. Wild wing Cafe after what I witnessed tonight, your days are numbered.
We absolutely love getting to Wilmington and stopping by WWC. This time however not so much- service was good, drinks were fine but the wings- what in the heck were they? Looks like they wacked them right off the chicken and fried them. They were messy, hard to break and looked weird.. Next time we will call ahead and see if they changed back to the normal ones. Here they are:
Not sure what is going on with the Wilmington, NC location but sadly our allegiance to this establishment has come to an end. The last few times we have gone, the food is mediocre at best but our visit on April 30, 2022 sealed their fate with us. So many things went wrong, not even sure where to begin… our server was new, fine, everyone has to start somewhere but why on her 3rd day was she doing it solo? Initial drink order was slow coming out. Didn’t get any water until the meal was over and that’s only because another server brought it to us. Ordered a second round of drinks that took so long I cancelled mine because I had already finished my meal. Let’s talk about the meal…. Wings were small and over cooked, didn’t get our celery, wrong sauces were on the chicken feathers, wrong sauces were on the shrimp skewers, missing the rice that was supposed to come with the shrimp and told the person that brought our food to the table, but we never got it. Our server didn’t come check on us until we were done eating so none of these issues were resolved. When we told her all that was wrong, she said sorry, asked if we still still wanted the rice and then asked if wanted to see a manager. We declined, just wanted our check which took forever to come to us and even longer for her to collect. Should have just thrown the $78 we paid for this meal out the window, that would have been more satisfying than this experience!
I hope this message get to the real owners of Wild Wings. What is happening to the brand in Wilmington is completely absurd. Got shocked with what was delivered to the table... We are old customers and wanted to give a 3rd try to see if things improved (after all broken bones wings in one day, plastic in the food another day, waits of 1 hour, etc...). We sat down, ordered bone in wings. 15 minutes after, the waitress came and said they ran out of bone in wings (like after 15 minutes the order was put?!?) Then they brought "boneless wings" instead. I got shocked when I saw it. It was basically chicken breast cut in cubes... this was not boneless wings at all... Very disappointing, and this was the last time I went to this place. I give up.
Had a great time sitting on the patio tables could have been cleaner but that’s pollen for you. Our server was great super friendly and gave us time to enjoy our food. We went for bogo wings and it’s so so worth it. I love wings and it’s hard to find a spot with yummy wings and sauce options, they have so many options and the prices are good especially for this! Another bonus is great beer specials throughout the week.
We used to love coming here to the Wilmington, NC location up to about 2 years ago. The last couple years have been bad. The service hasn't been up to par and neither has the food. Honestly, the last couple years we have only ordered food b/c we LOVE the flavor choices for their wings. Last year my super bowl order I placed a week in advance was canceled an hour before my scheduled pick up time. When I called I was given attitude but was told it was a mistake. I understand. Mistakes happen and it's a busy day for chicken wings. I ordered wings again this year b/c wanted to give them another chance and kept getting reminder emails to place my wing order. Order was placed 2 days in advance and received a confirmation. Wouldn't you know it... got a email 45 min before my scheduled pick up time of 4:30 pm that my order was canceled and to call the store to replace order. I called the store and didn't get anywhere. No one could tell me anything. They couldn't even tell me when my order would be ready if i place again. I understand super bowl Sunday is probably one of the busiest days of the year, but this is why I placed my order far enough in advance. You would think they would have prepared better. We have never had any issues like this at any other of wild wings locations only the Wilmington, NC location. Some advice...If you can't accommodate orders, then stop taking them! Get better management to ensure this doesn't continue to happen every year and PLAN IN ADVANCE!! Seriously bad business!! We will not be back to this location and I'm sure I'm not the only one this happened to.
This was an awesome experience from the entrance with Brooke, the service with Kelsea and all the food was amazing then the management Mallory and the visiting Corporate Management Matt & his team welcomed us checked on us and they all made the visit very enjoyable! We’ll definitely be back. And encourage others to join in as well. The team work at Wild Wings Cafe is amazing so swing in by and support our Loco Onos favs ???Team DBBD & JYSTAORCWe just give back what you need!
OMG! Crystal served an amazing dish for us from Kevin's prep work and Mallory topped the cake with her award winning conversation and updates of new things to come, Crystal was very knowledgeable of the menu and highlights and takes her job supportively irregardless of her day she is so humble, Mallory explodes over her staff and company growth surely a business worth supporting through Loco Onos. Thank you for all you do in your efforts! Team Jystaorc & DBBD

Got this doordashed today. tried their "french wings" which are chicken thighs for 12 dollars and chose waffle fries which were a 2 dollar upcharge.the thighs were okay and the waffle fries were average but the portion sizes, for 14 dollars where a spit in my face, the thighs, where were dry and fairly tough, couldn't have had more than 2 to 3 ozs of meat on them, and i literally, for my money got like 14 waffle fries. any other restaurant for that money would have served me actual thighs and at least twice the fries for my money. this was insulting, dont eat here, save your money.pictured below. you can literally get the same amount of food for 5 dollars from chik fil a
