I've ordered from Wheelz once before and it was delivered quickly and the pizza was pretty good. It had a sourish taste almost like the crust was sour dough. I tried it again and this time it was terrible! It was covered in ALOT of grease and once I got that off the pizza was inedible. The crust was so tough I couldn't bite into it. Just bad. Tried to call for a refund but no one answered. Not trying this place again. The pics below show the amount of grease that I lightly dabbed off the top of the pizza...gross.
Charged $2 more than was advertised. Almost an hour wait. Pizza came out burnt. Wouldn't offer a refund. Only order this garbage burnt pizza if you want to waste time and get overcharged for inedible pizza.Also this guy is driving the van and drinking beer. Please see pictures and look at the beer up top. Dude doesn't care.
If you have any choice, do not go to the wheels pizza in Midtown. This location was very run down. The employee appeared highly bothered to any someone call to order a pizza and then to come in and pick it up. They also forgot the basil to the margarita pizza. Will not go to this location again. Definitely not anything to write home about. Absolutely not a 4.8 more like 3 stars. Crust is tough the sauce is ok. The salad came out of a bag and had the old salad taste and the dressing was maybe a tablespoon per condiment container. The sandwich bread was the same consistency as the pizza crust but was better than the pizza. Two pizza’s, one sandwich, a salad, and one coke was $89.00. If the food would have been really good we don’t mind spending the money but this was definitely not worth it.
Wheelz is by far the best delivery pizza, and honestly, the best pizza you can get in Wilmington! It’s always fresh and hot when it arrives at my door. We really love their margherita, the white, and the pepperoni pizzas. The pepperonis they use are the cup n chars that get crispy on the edges - which makes them extra delicious! I also love their app because it makes it so easy to order and you can even pre-order for delivery later which is great so you can plan ahead. I order pizza from them at least once a week!
A little pricey but very good. We ordered the white pie. Cheesy and tasty and the ricotta on top was so creamy and delicious! I would probably ask for a side of sauce in the future to dip it in.
We loved there pizza, it is a little different than your regular pizza but it was really good and even my kids loved it. We picked up all 3x we have had it so I'm not sure how delivery is. I would recommend for sure. The great taste plus organic and no chemicals makes it 5 star worthy!!
Our first Wheelz pizza experience was awesome! The truck was at The Venue yesterday and we had been wanting to try their pizza after so many people recommended it. The customer service was great and the Margarita Pizza was so delicious. We loved the sourdough crust too!
We just tried the Wheelz Food Truck that was at the BBX Beer Exchange in Leland. It was, hands down, the BEST pizza we’ve had in this area! We are very picky about pizza, being from a state with a huge Italian population. We really haven’t found anything like this, yet. This will be our go to place from now in! Crust, sauce and toppings were so fresh tasting. Delish!
