This packs is awesome. The first time I went here was about six years ago and I have been thinking about it ever since. Got to try it again today and it’s just as good as I remembered it. The burgers are fantastic. Super juicy and everything takes fresh. Get true sweet potato fries with the honey mustard. Delicious
Their food is good. I enjoyed this restaurant. Although not related to this restaurant, I got a ticket for double parking in a gravel lot next door (I paid for parking). Apparently one can double park in an unmarked parking lot. Worst is the company that scams for parking doesn't answer their phone. I do believe CP should complain about the parking situation. I will never return (not their fault) due to parking.
If Guy Fieri thought this was the best in Wilmington, then his idea of good food is different than mine. Tried the pork special sandwich...absolutely bland and no flavor, was hoping for a fantastic meal but not here. Service was mediocre at best...will not be going back.
This is a bar’s bar. Comfortable, friendly staff, quick service and generous portions. Plenty of TV’s to watch sports. You can feel at home with the locals.
The staff at the Hampton Inn recommended we go to The Copper Penny. We were not disappointed. Good food and staff.
I had surgery and thought that I would treat myself as I’d never been to The Copper Penny. I stopped by on my way back to town from Leland. Picked up my order and drove home to the other side of town- only to realize that my “well done” burger is medium rare. Says well done right on the ticket. Called the restaurant and their remedy was for me to pack myself back up, find and pay for parking again to bring the burger back to down town so that they can switch out the burger. This unfortunately wasn’t an option for me. I know that mistakes happen but the response that they gave to this review was not what was offered to me.I couldn’t further cook the burger because it was overdone on the outside and raw in the middle.Won’t be back and won’t recommend.
The hot roast beef sandwich is killer!
I've been wanting to get to the Copper Penny for awhile as I have always heard good things about it. I'm not sure why I waited so long! Really great pub atmosphere, nice surroundings, very appealing. Good waitstaff. Food was good. I had a chicken pita. Though I would've preferred the traditional Greek pita this one was good and the pita bread was nice and soft. The fries were yummy and I loved that they had malt vinegar on the table. These are the perfect fries for that. My husband also enjoyed his eats. The Copper Penny's version of a rum runner was very good though was very heavy on the ice not so much on the drink.
We drove up while vacationing in Myrtle Beach after seeing this gem on DDD. We were not disappointed! We arrived midweek during lunch hour and had to wait maybe 20 minutes. There is no indoor waiting area, but it was a beautiful, warm day so we didn’t mind waiting outside. We started with the spinach artichoke dip, which is a meal in itself. The portion is more than ample for 4 or more to share. We also tried the 109 Chestnut Chicken Sandwich. Again, large enough to share. It was absolutely delicious! We had Penny Slaw with it. Different than any slaw I’ve ever tried, but out of this world delicious! We tried the Cuban Sandwich with fries as well. Both were delicious! The honey mustard sauce with the fries was unique & delicious. Our server was super friendly and very attentive (think her name was Abby). The decor is neat and unusual. We’re glad we chose to make the drive to visit the Copper Penny. We will be back!
One of the best Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches I have had. It stay hot the whole time. Excellent food and service along with setting. Will return soon.
